Home Sweet Homo

Home Sweet.... Homo?We got back from our weekend away and we had a really wonderful time… but before I talk about that I have to show you this pic.  It’s something Xander pointed out to me today that made me laugh.

This is a potholder that is part of a set that our friends Penny and Yuri brought back from California with them for our new kitchen.  Cute huh?

Today Xander brought the potholder into the livingroom to show me that the text ‘Home sweet home’ actually looks like ‘Home sweet homo’.   He’s right, it does look like that!  We’re wondering if she picked the set up in San Francisco.

So yeah, our weekend was really really awesome.  It was SO nice to get away!  This was the first time we have gone away together with just the two of us since our first anniversary – SIX YEARS AGO!   I know, that’s just ridiculous… but when we have money for a big trip we always want to go to Canada and small trips have never been worth the hassle of trying to sort out pet care.   We got lucky though and Penny and Yuri took Bailey and the neighbors looked after the cats, turtles, etc.   It was a good practice run for everyone for when we go to Canada.

Ordina Welcome

When we arrived at the park we were greeted by a big sign put up by Xander’s company welcoming us to the ‘Family Fun’ weekend.   I couldn’t wait to get inside and see what was waiting for us.

Landal Landgoed Het Loo Walkway to our Bungalo

Our BungaloWe were there for three nights and had this six person bungalow to ourselves for most of it.  We shared with another family on Saturday night but they had a sick 2 year old and 9 month pregnant mommy, so they spent most of their time upstairs in their room.  On Sunday morning they were gone.

Sweeeeet!

LivingroomThe park was beautiful!  I really would like to sneak back there for a quiet weekend during the winter.  Especially after seeing that the bungalow had a fireplace!

Maybe we can totally corn out and go there for a romantic Valentine’s getaway in February.   It would be the perfect excuse to visit the park again!

Chillaxin!Kitching / Dining Area

It’s a shame that it doesn’t really get cold enough to freeze here.   The water in the middle of the park would have been awesome for skating.

Landal Landgoed Het Loo

We did a lot of things while we were there, other than cuddling up in the bungalow, watching movies and enjoying the peace and quiet.   More on that soon!
