Webcammin’!

Last night I actually slept through the night. Which is quite unlike the few nights before. We got a timed feeder for the cats hoping that if they get fed part way through the night they won’t start getting rowdy at 4-5am. Joke as on us because they figured out how to get it open, but that doesn’t happen without a complete racket.. which, yes you guessed it.. wakes me up. Last night I clipped their nails and made sure the thing was firmly shut. After just 1-2 times getting up to chase them and threaten death they finally calmed down and I was able to sleep peacefully through the entire night. I really didn’t want to get up.

Webcamming is FUN! I finally sealed the deal with Xander and traded my gaming computer for the Compaq laptop and got my cam working on it. Andrew helped me test it out with MSN and it works like a charm. While we were on there he was showing me his biker butt which he’s famous for on the community we share on Orkut. I noticed that the cam makes me look really white when I have only the light from my monitor. I’ll have to sort some kind of light nearby or something.   Xander likes to stick his head in the view of the camera sometimes, which people seem to find pretty amusing. I thought I’d be more nervous about people seeing me on cam but it’s turning out to be much more fun than I thought it would be. Soon I’ll have to explain to my mom how it works and get the cam sparked up with her. Then I can walk around the apartment with the cam on my little laptop showing her the renovations we’ll be doing and stuff.

Yet another photo from my balcony. I was sitting in the livingroom and looked up from my laptop and went “WOAH!!”. Of all the sunsets I’ve seen, I have never seen anything like this. I love when the clouds glow pink when the sun goes down but this was something totally beyond that. No matter what direction I looked in there was some shade of purple or pink. I just stood on my balcony with my jaw dropping open snapping pics. I must admit though, the photo really doesn’t do it justice. I actually felt like I was on another planet or something.
