The-Diet Weigh-in Week 7

Ok it’s judgement day, yet again!

This week I’ve been quite well behaved and tried to exercise as much as possible. Ok maybe not as much as possible but as much as … oh ffs, I exercised ok?

Week 1 – 0 lbs lost
Week 2 – 2 lbs lost
Week 3 – 2 lbs lost
Week 4 – 2 lbs GAINED
Week 5 – 7 lbs lost
Week 6 – 0 lbs lost
Week 7 – 2 lbs lost

Total lost: 11 lbs

A few days ago I weighed in as a pound lower but I have to go by what is there on weigh-in day. I’m happy though, 2 lbs is what I’ve been aiming for per week so I’m pretty much on schedule. Except for the pathetic 0 lbs lost last week….

Good things to mention this week:

  • It’s now been 7 weeks since I had french fries, ice cream, coke, potato chips or candy of any kind.
  • It’s been 3 weeks and 1 day since I had ANY chocolate.
  • I have brought up my exercise bike and have gradually extended my biking time to 10kms a day (in 45 minutes). This is my limit at the moment..
  • I’ve had a few comments that people notice my face being thinner. I like that, even if they are just saying it to motivate me.

Bad things to mention

  • I seem to have more trouble behaving myself at lunch time than any other time of the day. At breakfast and dinner I’m hungry.. at lunch I’m RAVENOUS!! A few times I’ve slipped up and eaten so much for lunch it was almost a dinner, so I had to eat a tiny dinner to make up for it. It sucked. Must find a way to curb this lunchtime hunger.
  • I haven’t been drinking my water as consistantly as I should be. I started out in the beginning drinking a lot and there are some days I know I’m not drinking nearly enough. I think I need to get some lemon or something to put into it sometimes. Lemon water can be nice.
  • I buy lots of fruit, and I like fruit, but for some reason a lot of it ends up going off before I ever get around to eating it. I buy more because I don’t want to NOT have the fruit around when I DO want it. Such a waste… I need to find the right amount and the right fruits to bring into the house. I’m lazy and as much as I love fruits like melons, I can’t be arsed to cut them up and all that.

I was supposed to see my dietician today but I rescheduled for next week because the thought of getting on a bus today in this heat (it was 35+ today) killed me. The busses here have no windows that open and NO airco. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if they have shit for brains. Anyhow, I don’t want to see ANYONE that badly, to sit trapped in a greenhouse on wheels while other peopile’s BO comes at me from all directions. Nothankyou. So now my appointment is next Wednesday…

So, not a bad week this week! Now on to the next!

  1. You are doing well and I admire that.

No coke or chips for 7 weeks…I would be DEAD!

  2. Congrats on the weight loss!

Some things that helped me curb my hungry feelins:

Try spreading your meals out a bit maybe that will help. Eating smaller portions more frequently fills me up, because then I don’t go so long without food. Fruits and veggies are a good way to curb the hunger, but if your like me eating more than 1 portion of veggies a day is hard.

Water does help too, it makes you feel a bit fuller.

Try finding healthy stuff to snack on to help your hunger maybe that will help. Just discovered the snack a jack’s rice cake thingies, they are pretty good and pretty low in calories. They have caramel, so I snack on one of those occasionally.

Stay off food websites hahah. That is definately my downfall cause I love to cook, but being on a website with pictures of fatty food, MAN do I get hungry fast!

P.S. Gotta love the BO when you ride the bus or tram :) GAG! I don’t blame you for not going out yesterday!

  3. The earlier you eat in the day, the better. You’re better off with a bigger lunch than dinner, because your activity drops off later in the day and burns fewer calories.

(Gisele Bundchen’s a Brazilian supermodel, by the way. Her other major claim to fame was being linked with Leonardi DiCaprio for a few years.)

  4. Aceian – I have absolutely no idea who Giselle Bunchen is but if she’s some media hyped hottie I doubt I’ll ever have her figure! *laugh*

Erik!!! ARGH! No wonder I couldn’t find you! I’ve been checking your blog faithfully and you hadn’t written in ages. Good grief. I’ll have to change your link and do some back reading on your blog!

Kimmy / Greg – I’ve tried the drinking water thing but it doesn’t seem to help. My mother told me that if you drink a lot of water an hour or a half hour before a meal you will eat less. It hasn’t seemed to curb my lunchtime hunger though. I’m just going to have to get more disciplined.

Also, I’m not really counting calories. I’m just cutting back on what I eat. I’ll probably get into the calorie counting thing after I visit the dietician as I’m sure she’ll probably make me.

  5. 7 weeks without coke & potato chips… OMG!!
Don’t think I could live a weekend without it. Having trouble just to not buy that single 0.5l coke at work everyday, especially now in the summertime.

Damn I’m so envious of you being able to resist it Breigh

oh, moved my blog btw, forgot to update likes, so it looked like i hadn’t been blogging for ages ^^.

  6. keep up the good work it will def,. pay off.

  7. My program of losing weight is hindered by my love of beer. Two weeks of a vacation with beer almost every night gained me 10 lbs.

Ill check you out from time to time until you reached that Giselle Bunchen figure. Then Ill proceed behind your course.

Thanks for dropping by at my blog.

  8. I second the comment for drinking more water. At the same time, are you eating enough calories a day? Perhaps you’re not eating enough which is causing you to feel hungry. :) Post your meals!

  9. I keep a brita filter at work which helps me drink more water. Have you tried drowning your lunch hunger? A few glasses of water leading up to lunch may help.
