HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE!!

So my last year as a 20 something. I don’t really care.. although who knows maybe I’ll be one of those women who freaks out when I’m about to turn 30. I somehow doubt it though.. but it’s possible, one never knows what I’m going to freak out about.

It’s sunny in North Sydney today but it’s a bit windy and chilly being on the water. I don’t mind though, the sky could open up and dump six feet of snow on me and I’d still be happy to be home!

So today the family is coming over.. it should be interesting. I’ve never met my sister’s fiance and my niece has apparently grown up BIG TIME since I’ve seen her last. I’m really looking forward to seeing my sister again, I’ve really missed her. We went through a few years where we didn’t speak at all and stubborn me just let it stay that way. I swear we’re so much alike it’s unfit. Of course, once one of us took the first step we both ended up like blubbering idiots, crying and saying how glad we are to be talking again. Families are so funny aren’t they? I’m hoping to get to get to spend a good amount of time with her while I’m here. By the sounds of things her fiance (who they apparently call THE DAVE) and Xander will get along really good as well.

I still haven’t had Wendy’s, but I will soon.. Tomorrow we are going to the flea market where I will probably want every single crafty thing I lay eyes on. God knows there is a shortage of that stuff in Holland, bleh.. their taste is so crap. Except for plants of course, I love how much they love plants and flowers. I don’t really have a green thumb, but I try.. Their love of all things green really rubs off on you.

Flowers everywhere!

Of course 98% of the plants in that pic are dead now.. but whatever!!

Tim has been telling me about this game he’s been playing called City of Heroes. It sounds sooo good but I don’t want to start playing it. I mean when I get into games I get SO into them that everything else gets put aside. I’ve also not been gaming at all for a few months now and that makes me kind of happy as it cuts down pretty drastically on the drama in my life. Nothing makes me feel like a bigger loser than sitting in front of the computer all wound up and upset about something that is taking place in a GAME! It sure is tempting though, this new COH game.. argh!
