Ok so I downloaded and watched the final episode of American Idol today and all I can say is… meh.
I’m glad Taylor won but I don’t know if it’s because I really liked him or because of the fact that I really DON’T like “McPhever” (Gag me). He is good and all, and definately entertaining… but is he a Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson or *Heart* Bo Bice *Heart*?? I don’t think so.
Btw, I put the hearts around Bo Bice even though I think he did terrible on his guest appearance at the beginning of the season, and his single really blows. I *heart* him in memory of the great performances he gave during last season ( Whippin’ Post anyone?! )
I remember how I used to really love the show, how I couldn’t wait to watch it to see who was going to be kicked off… and how ticked I’d get if someone was kicked off that I didn’t want to be. I’d get when someone was kicked off I didn’t want to be. This season I didn’t really give a crap! I liked Mandisa, Chris and Taylor but nobody really thrilled me.
Gotta say the final episode was good though, a lot more stars than usual. That reminds me, OH MY GOOD LORD!! How horrible were the performances by Meatloaf and Toni Braxton. I was sitting there watching them and wishing the judges could comment on their performances, they’d get SLAYED!
That episode I watched at your place was the ONLY episode I watched of the entire season! Looks like I didn’t miss too much, by the sounds of it.
I loved Chris too, I think he was great and his performance with Live was definately the highlight of the entire finale. If it had been Chris and Taylor in the end it would have been a lot more exciting I think.
I just spent the whole end of the show DREADING the possibility that McPheever would win.
Was it just me or did she seem to always have a look on her face like she knew she shouldn’t be there?

After Chris got voted off, I lost interest…fearing that the boob would win over natural talent.
Chris was to me as Bo was to you. McPheever should have died 4 weeks ago when Chris left. She blows.
I So wish Simon had had a go at Meatloaf and Braxton. I almost cried when Aiken and that screacher started singing an Elton song. NO MORE!! Stop mangling good songs!! Yeesh!
I haven’t seen the season finale of Lost yet so don’t say anything! I’m a few shows behind as I haven’t downloaded it in a while. I probably should get it soon though because someone is gonna talk about it in front of me soon and I’ll hear what happened.

GO TAYLOR! :D It’s funny, I’ve never watched Idol before, but I caught the last few episodes, and I love Taylor because he’s so original. I agree, McPhever needs to die a slow, painful death. Cringeworthy, for sure.
I had to switch during a commercial from Lost to catch the winner (luckily it was perfect timing), it seems all the things I want to catch on TV are on at the same time!
