I’m a little late but we had snow last week! I was so excited! Of course, it didn’t last long but I managed to get some photos of it in the meantime. I love when it snows!
It started early in the afternoon out of nowhere and looked beautiful with the sun still shining.
Then it started getting nasty. The wind picked up and the snow was almost blowing sideways. A real and honest to god snow storm!
It wasn’t long before the kids were out. It amazes me how little snow the kids need here in order to make snowmen! These kids didn’t quite achieve that though. With the exception of the guy with the zigzag path, the rest of them all rolled their ‘ball’ in the same direction, ending up with something resembled a wheel more than a ball. I think the next time it snows I’ll have to get out there and show them how it’s done – Canadian Style!
This is one of the rejected ‘balls’, like most snowmen that are made here in NL when it snows, it’s a mixture of snow, grass, leaves and dirt because the snow never gets deep enough to allow for anything else.
Since I’ve been writing this it’s started snowing lightly again here in Rotterdam. Not that nice fluffy kind of snow though, it’s that wet, almost rain type of snow that disappears the minute it hits the ground. Pity.
You haven’t been writing much lately… how come? I have a question for you – My CommentLuv plugin requires me to log in and approve comments and for the life of me I don’t know how to change that setting. It must be simple but I don’t see it. Any advice?

Gotto love the snow!
Been out on my parents cabin in the mountains this weekend. And was so nice to see all the snow there =D.
Had my new camera with me as well, and been taken a few snapshots which I’ve posted in my soon to come photoblog (photo.erikrasmussen.no)

No snow here, just rain. Which is one reason why I voted NO to the Olympics for Vancouver/Whistler 2010. But everyone knew it would go ahead, anyway.
A whole COUNTRY full of snow in the winter and the one region in Canada that doesn’t get snow bids for the Olympics and wins. WTF?

Congrats on snow! I’m from Utah, and considering our license plates say “Greatest Snow On Earth”….it’s too funny that it is bright and sunny when it should be dumping snow.

Oh gosh, that ball with all the leaves, it’s so funny/sad! I love big snow flakes and wow, that field is SO green in the first picture! Looks really pretty in the snow. :)
We’ve got just a few weeks left in the sunshine and then it’s off to the cold flurries ourselves.

You can keep all of it lol. That is so funny though, you guys have had more snow then us here in Newfoundland believe it or not, we have had rain, rain, rain, and more rain. But I got a feeling (and so does everyone else) that once the snow starts look out, we are in for it, we may not dig ourselves out till May, to be this late in the year and still not have a thing.
Guess that’s global warming for ya.
Hope you get some more and have a White Christmas, That is the only snow I want, Christmas eve, and just enough to make the ground white, nothing else and then let it melt. lol Think Santa will do this for me?

That was crazy, all that snow. Delphine was out playing in it too, I have some pics on my FB. The dike was packed with kids sledding. I think they were sliding on as much mud as they were snow!
