This is definitely one of my favorites, it looks amazing on black.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t

Now that I\u2019m back on the nailpolish bandwagon, I needed to add a little sparkle to my life. I couldn\u2019t choose which of my new polishes to try so I closed my eyes and picked one!\u00a0 Well, two actually.\u00a0\u00a0 The above photo is a base of Revlon\u2019s Lunar with a top coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black.<\/p>\n

As you can see this polish is one of those uber cool holos that changes color depending on how the light hits it.\u00a0 The colors range from a nice deep red, through the spectrum of oranges, yellows and greens.\u00a0 Loooooove!<\/p>\n

The Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black was easy enough to apply.\u00a0 Many of these chunkier polishes drive me bananas because as you run the brush over your nail the pieces just stay on the brush.\u00a0 More than once I’ve ended up with a totally goopy nail just from passing the brush over it so many times to try to get the pieces off.\u00a0 I didn’t have that problem with this polish at all. In fact, loads came off really easily and I may have even ended up with more than I needed on the nail.\u00a0 I didn’t care though, it was so pretty, I just couldn’t stop!\u00a0 In any case, this one would be quite easy to use if you are the type who likes to try to ‘dose’ your glitter.<\/p>\n

\"Kleancolor<\/a><\/p>\n

The only problem for me was that, like a lot of other glittery polishes, this ate my topcoat quite badly.\u00a0 I put on a thick layer of Seche Vite and still ended up with a bumpy finish.\u00a0 It was ok though, as long as I didn’t run my fingers over my nails (which I did of course, because I\u2019m OCD like that) it wasn\u2019t noticeable.\u00a0 I removed points for formula even though I’m not sure what could be done to prevent the hungry glitter thing.\u00a0 I think sometimes with polishes like this with such big pieces, it just happens.\u00a0 I am no expert though, so maybe there is something they could do.\u00a0 In any case if you are like me and it makes you twitch, you may find that this polish and the topcoat eating issue will nag at you.<\/p>\n

This manicure lasted for days on end.\u00a0 When I removed it to try something else there wasn\u2019t as much as a chip.\u00a0 That makes me happy.\u00a0 I was actually pleasantly surprised when it came time to remove this manicure. I was dreading it as experience tells me that removing any glitter type of polish is a royal pain in the ass.\u00a0 I used my tried and true “ripped up cotton ball soaked in remover” method, where I leave a piece on each nail for a few mins before trying to remove the polish.\u00a0 Even with that, in many cases it’s still a fight to get those last stubborn pieces of glitter off but this one really wasn’t so bad.\u00a0\u00a0 It didn’t seem like much of a struggle at all actually, which works in its favor because a difficult to remove polish can sit unused in my drawer, just because I can’t be bothered to deal with it.<\/p>\n

I definitely give this polish two sparkly thumbs up!<\/p>\n

P.S. The Revlon Lunar also makes for a beautiful black base coat and it applies really nicely.\u00a0 I will definitely be using this as my base with other glittery polishes in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
