{"id":9031,"date":"2011-09-02T07:34:33","date_gmt":"2011-09-02T05:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gettingirlie.com\/?p=380"},"modified":"2014-02-14T22:16:49","modified_gmt":"2014-02-14T21:16:49","slug":"sinful-colors-green-ocean-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/9031","title":{"rendered":"Sinful Colors Green Ocean: Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After slowly working through my polishes from my big swap I finally tried Sinful Colors <em>Green Ocean.\u00a0 <\/em>I\u00a0 used a base layer of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.essence.eu\" target=\"_blank\">Essence<\/a> Multi Dimension XXL Shine <em>Fatal<\/em> and one good coat of the Green Ocean over top.<\/p>\n<p>My first impression?\u00a0 \u201cOoooOOoooOOoh!\u201d.\u00a0 Being me, I just love everything glitter, flakie, etc so it goes without saying that I just love the effect when watching it go on.\u00a0 The color was exactly what it said it would be, it\u2019s like a green ocean with deep blue when looking at it from the right angle.\u00a0 It went on pretty well, it didn\u2019t appear to clump too badly and the texture of the polish was thin enough to prevent it from feeling \u2018goopy\u2019 (sorry if I\u2019m too technical for you haha).\u00a0 So the application was good.<\/p>\n<p>The only drawbacks I could think of were\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For some reason, and I don\u2019t know if this was just my bottle that was a bit of a fluke, but there were some really big flakies in the bottle that kept causing sticky outie bits.\u00a0 It was almost as though there were some pieces that hadn\u2019t been cut properly.\u00a0 You can see one on my ring finger in the above photo, which is one of the more medium sized chunks.\u00a0 Even with two thick coats of Seche Vite on top, I still had the odd rough spot where a piece of the flakie was sticking through and that really made me twitch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/nfuoh40b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12977\" alt=\"nfuoh40b\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/nfuoh40b-1024x666.jpg\" width=\"614\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I felt like I\u2019d seen it before.\u00a0 Then I realized that sort of looks like <a href=\"http:\/\/gettingirlie.com\/?p=23\" target=\"_blank\">Nfu Oh 40<\/a> (seen in the above photo)!\u00a0 From memory, and my photos, I think the Green Ocean is a bit brighter but I was using different technique for my photos then, and also wasn\u2019t using the Seche Vite.\u00a0 So I think a comparison is in my future.<\/li>\n<li>Like any glitter or flakie, it was a PITA to remove.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The thing is, I absolutely LOVED the Nfu Oh 40 so it makes sense to say that I love this as well.\u00a0 I guess we\u2019ll have to wait and see which I actually like better when I sit down and do a proper comparison of the two!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After slowly working through my polishes from my big swap I finally tried Sinful Colors Green Ocean.\u00a0 I\u00a0 used a base layer of Essence Multi Dimension XXL Shine Fatal and one good coat of the Green Ocean over top.
