\nThe other day I saw this post<\/a> over on Colores de Carol<\/a> about a newspaper manicure. I kept that tab open for days because I wanted to do it and knew if I closed the window I\u2019d forget!

\nI had just gotten the same polish she used (Catrice Snow Motion) not that long ago so I knew I had everything that was needed for this manicure.\u00a0 Uhh, except a newspaper, which I later swiped from the waiting room at my doctor\u2019s office! You can always count on finding a Metro somewhere you go during the day!
\nHere are the materials I used for this mani:
\nSeche Vite Base Coat
\nCatrice Snow Motion
\nAlcohol
\nMetro Newspaper
\nSeche Vite Top Coat
\n\"metro2\"<\/a>
\nThis was so easy to do\u2026 ANYONE can do this!\u00a0 Here are the easy steps to creating your own newspaper manicure:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Tear 10 pieces of newspaper a little bigger than the size of your fingernails.<\/li>\n
  2. Apply your base coat if you choose. I always do to try to prevent staining.<\/li>\n
  3. Apply 1-2 coats of white or light grey polish.<\/li>\n
  4. Wait for the polish to dry fully.<\/li>\n
  5. Dip your finger in rubbing alcohol for approximately 5 seconds<\/li>\n
  6. Immediately after removing your finger from the alcohol, press one of the pieces of newspaper onto it and press to transfer the ink to the nail.<\/li>\n
  7. Peel the paper from the nail.<\/li>\n
  8. Apply a top coat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    VOILA!\u00a0 Newpaper manicure!\u00a0 Here is a video tutorial so you can see it in action:<\/p>\n

    I really want to do this again sometime, but using the comics or some other colored portion of the newspaper just to see how it comes out.\u00a0 I wish we got the \u2018funnies\u2019 here in the Netherlands like we did back in Canada!\u00a0 They\u2019d be great for playing around with this type of manicure, I think!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
