{"id":8998,"date":"2011-05-15T05:50:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-15T03:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gettingirlie.com\/?p=35"},"modified":"2013-01-14T06:23:01","modified_gmt":"2013-01-14T05:23:01","slug":"saturday-morning-mehni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/8998","title":{"rendered":"Saturday Morning MEHni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday after spending the night before cleaning my turtle tanks, my poor <a href=\"http:\/\/gettingirlie.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/butterfly-wing.html\" target=\"_blank\">butteryfly mani<\/a> was chipped to bits, so it was time to do something new.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure what I wanted but I thought I\u2019d try something light and pretty using one of the gifts I got for my <a href=\"http:\/\/gettingirlie.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/my-nails-are-36-years-old.html\" target=\"_blank\">Birthday<\/a>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/mehni2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"mehni2\" alt=\"mehni2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/mehni2_thumb.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"387\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI chose WnW Wild Card and thought it would be pretty with some white floral <a href=\"http:\/\/gettingirlie.blogspot.com\/search\/label\/Stamp\" target=\"_blank\">stamping<\/a> on top using my new Konad plates.\u00a0 That would be pretty!<br \/>\nNo, not so much\u2026<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/mehni.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"mehni\" alt=\"mehni\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/mehni_thumb.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis mani quickly turned into a MEHni.\u00a0 I was absolutely unimpressed with it.\u00a0 I love that feeling I get when I do my nails and my insides squeal and go \u201cOOOOOH LOOOVE!\u201d, that didn\u2019t happen this time.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure if it was the color that didn\u2019t suit me or that the stamping was sub-par, or that they just didn\u2019t go well together.\u00a0 When I later looked at the photos from before the stamping (which were too blurry to bother posting) the base color alone didn\u2019t look that bad.\u00a0 Just something changed once the stamp was added, and it made it look like poo.<br \/>\nI often see people doing white on pinkish colors and I love it, but this did not do it for me at all.<br \/>\nI tried to give it a chance, I really did\u2026 but it was short lived.\u00a0 Two hours later the remover came out and this MEHni was yesterday\u2019s news.<br \/>\nWhat do you think is the problem here?\u00a0 It\u2019s the stamping, right?\u00a0 \u2026 or do you think the base color doesn\u2019t work for me?\u00a0 It\u2019s such a lovely color, I\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019d be ok without the stamping, at least not THIS stamp.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday after spending the night before cleaning my turtle tanks, my poor butteryfly mani was chipped to bits, so it was time to do something new.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure what I wanted but I thought I\u2019d try something light and pretty using one of the gifts I got for my Birthday.
