{"id":876,"date":"2008-05-12T08:06:45","date_gmt":"2008-05-12T06:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/876"},"modified":"2010-05-31T23:45:37","modified_gmt":"2010-05-31T21:45:37","slug":"eight-whole-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/876","title":{"rendered":"Eight Whole Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Tammy &amp; Xander by Breigh.com, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/breigh\/2047674242\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2388\/2047674242_da1ca61fdb.jpg\" alt=\"Tammy &amp; Xander\" width=\"480\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today I am celebrating my 8 year anniversary with my husband.\u00a0\u00a0 When I say celebrating I really mean it.\u00a0\u00a0 Not in the partying sense but in the way that I truly recognize how lucky I am to have him in my life and can&#8217;t imagine my life without him.<\/p>\n<p>Our marriage hasn&#8217;t been perfect.\u00a0 There have been strains along the way and there have been times when I think we both wondered if we were going to make it.\u00a0 None of those times had anything to do with not loving each other though, it was always circumstances like my culture shock and depression, stupid things we&#8217;d both done or family issues that pushed us towards the breaking point.<\/p>\n<p>We made it through all of that because we love each other and a life where we aren&#8217;t together just isn&#8217;t something either of us could imagine.\u00a0 We made it through the other side and we are stronger for it.\u00a0\u00a0 Our love is stronger for it.<\/p>\n<p>When you reach rock bottom in a relationship and make it through, you feel like you can make it through anything and that is a good feeling.\u00a0 We are in this together and I couldn&#8217;t possibly love him more than I do today.<\/p>\n<p>I love the way he listens to me and is there for me.<br \/>\nI love his never ending patience for me.<br \/>\nI love the fact that I can be myself 100% around him without worrying that he will love me any less for my flaws or bad habits.<br \/>\nI love how kind and helpful he is to everyone he meets and that he is the go-to guy for the little old ladies in our building.<br \/>\nI love how he is incredibly geeky, just like me (more than me), and is not ashamed.<br \/>\nI love that I can never stay mad at him no matter how hard I try.<br \/>\nI love that he hates being apart from me as much as I hate it, even for one day.<br \/>\nI love that I feel like I have to stop making this list now because I don&#8217;t see me ever running out of things to list that I love about him.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Anniversary Babe, and thank you for loving me back all these years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I am celebrating my 8 year anniversary with my husband.\u00a0\u00a0 When I say celebrating I really mean it.\u00a0\u00a0 Not in the partying sense but in the way that I truly recognize how lucky I am to have him in my life and can&#8217;t imagine my life without him.
