{"id":858,"date":"2008-04-06T16:55:23","date_gmt":"2008-04-06T14:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/858"},"modified":"2010-02-01T23:05:50","modified_gmt":"2010-02-01T21:05:50","slug":"gratis-inburgeren","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/858","title":{"rendered":"Gratis Inburgeren!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/blogpics\/inburger.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Do you have any idea what I&#8217;m talking about?\u00a0 If not, then you are proving something I&#8217;ve been asking myself about all the time.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been seeing these ads on trams all over the city but keep missing the chance to take a photo, but the other day on my way home from work I managed to snap this quickly as the tram was pulling away.<\/p>\n<p>These are ads for free integration courses.\u00a0 Basically, the course I took a while back where you learn the language, a bit of history, some social stuff, etc.\u00a0 It was free for me then too, because the government paid for it, but I guess now it&#8217;s free for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what I don&#8217;t get though&#8230; if you need this course, how are you meant to read the ad?\u00a0 If you were new in the Netherlands would &#8216;Gratis inburgeren&#8217; scream &#8216;FREE LANGUAGE LESSONS&#8217; or &#8216;FREE INTEGRATION CLASSES&#8217; to you?<\/p>\n<p>Ok, so in a lot of cases people might have a partner who is Dutch and may see it and pass the message on, but they can&#8217;t count on that, can they?<\/p>\n<p>I just don&#8217;t get how they are meant to be drawing people in with that ad when if they NEED the classes they obviously won&#8217;t be able to READ the ad.<\/p>\n<p>Silly&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you have any idea what I&#8217;m talking about?\u00a0 If not, then you are proving something I&#8217;ve been asking myself about all the time.
