At least that\u2019s what *I* always wanted to see most.<\/p>\n<p>I have been taking photos along the way but I have to say I\u2019m not really loving it yet.\u00a0 From my experience and what I see on different groups and forums, we are all most critical of ourselves and we rarely ever see the differences.\u00a0 That\u2019s unfortunately something I am experiencing at the moment, which is why I didn\u2019t even bother posting photos when I was at my one month point.<\/p>\n<p>I promised to keep things as real as possible though, so I put some photo collages together showing myself on the day of surgery, at one month and at two months.\u00a0\u00a0 I wish I\u2019d thought a little more when taking the photos, maybe smiled or worn something different, especially in the operation day and one month photos.\u00a0 What on earth was I thinking taking my one\u00a0 month photos after getting off my exercise bike?\u00a0 Man&#8230; not my brightest moment, that&#8217;s for sure.<\/p>\n<p>I am posting these photos in the hopes that one day I will look back on them and be thankful that I looked so horrid, because then it will be a glaring difference from my new, thin, rockin\u2019 bod! haha<\/p>\n<p>First, let\u2019s look back at my before photos\u2026 my way way before photos.\u00a0 Back in 2008 and 2009 before I started trying to lose weight at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/before.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"before\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/before_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"before\" width=\"600\" height=\"1015\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The photos on the bottom were taken in 2008,\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure if I was actually at my highest at that point, but I was definitely somewhere between 280 \u2013 300 lbs.\u00a0 I was so unhappy and hated having the photos taken of myself but I wanted to have photos of me in these places because I loved them so much.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad I took them now as they are the only real \u2018before\u2019 photos I have!\u00a0 I made a point of always trying to <em>behind<\/em> the camera.<\/p>\n<p>The top photos were taken June 1, 2009.\u00a0 I remember the day like yesterday because we were taking photos for my mother in law because she wanted to do a painting of us.\u00a0 She asked for us to take photos so she could look at them to get our features right and stuff, so we got the camera out.\u00a0 I was at my absolute heaviest at that time and I had a total tantrum that day because I did NOT want to take photos of myself.\u00a0 I felt fat, ugly, and gross\u2026 I never bothered to do anything with my hair or try to make myself look nice because I felt like it was an impossible task.<\/p>\n<p>That was the day everything changed. Seeing those photos of myself, together with a kick in the ass from my doctor, is what started this long portion of my weight loss journey which finally lead to me having the surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Now for something more recent\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/face.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10px; display: inline;\" title=\"face\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/face_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"face\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the only decent face shot I have since the surgery, from a few weeks ago.\u00a0 Excuse the wax statue look, I was playing with the \u2018magic skin\u2019 feature on a new camera app on my phone. Apparently it\u2019s supposed to remove blemishes but it also removes all signs of you being human and having human skin.\u00a0 It still does the trick and shows the shape of my face at the moment I think.<\/p>\n<p>Now for the dreaded body shots!<\/p>\n<p>Remember, the morning of my surgery I was nervous and freaking out\u2026 and at my one month mark I was still home a lot, in recovery and not firing on all cylinders.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t thinking that I\u2019d actually have to SHARE these photos one day.\u00a0 I think I\u2019m going to hire a stylist for my three month photos to make up for this fiasco.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"2monthcollage\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollage_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"2monthcollage\" width=\"600\" height=\"504\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yeah you thought I was kidding about how horrid my earlier photos were, didn\u2019t you?\u00a0 I can\u2019t even believe I\u2019m putting these out there for public consumption.\u00a0 Egads!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollagesidea.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"2monthcollagesidea\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollagesidea_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"2monthcollagesidea\" width=\"600\" height=\"634\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollagesideb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"2monthcollagesideb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollagesideb_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"2monthcollagesideb\" width=\"600\" height=\"547\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I look at it I try to see the differences, I really do\u2026 I know my face has gotten thinner, I know that I\u2019m wearing two sizes smaller in jeans and that I am more comfortable in smaller shirts, but when I LOOK at the photos, I just don\u2019t see it.\u00a0 It\u2019s so incredibly frustrating.\u00a0\u00a0 I do hate the photos on the right a lot less than the photos on the left, so that must mean something is changing.<\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s time for my least favorite part of all\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollageback.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"2monthcollageback\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2monthcollageback_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"2monthcollageback\" width=\"600\" height=\"496\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>BADONKADONK!!\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Man oh man, I have enough ass for three women!\u00a0 This is one area where I can see a slight difference.\u00a0 I know the area that I lovingly call my \u2018butt shelf\u2019 is starting to go down but I really can\u2019t wait for the time when I just have a normal butt rather than having that serious junk in my trunk look.<\/p>\n<p>I know I\u2019ll be disappointing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/431\" target=\"_blank\">African men all over the city<\/a> by getting rid of my ridiculously large ass, but they\u2019re just going to have to deal.\u00a0 This arse has GOTTA GO.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s it!\u00a0 People can stop harassing me now about showing photos!\u00a0 Hopefully I\u2019ll see a bigger difference in my THREE month photos when I should be lower than my lowest weight from 2010, less than five pounds to go!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know that when people who have WLS do blog updates, one of the things people are interested in most is seeing the progress photos.
