Them meaning, the Dutchies.\u00a0\u00a0 I know, I know… I didn’t think it would ever happened either and yes, I did check to see if monkeys are flying out of my arse.\u00a0\u00a0 I can’t help it though, even without trying I’m finding things I really love about this place.<\/p>\n

One of the most recent things is Marco Borsato.\u00a0 I’m not sure if that makes me one of the cool kids <\/em>here in the Netherlands but I don’t really care either.\u00a0\u00a0 I’m not a big music buff, I’m more of a TV \/ Movies type, but there is one song that has been in my head for years and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s called Zij<\/a> <\/strong>and the best thing is, I even know all the words.\u00a0\u00a0 Not like with some other non-English songs where I just mimic the sounds but have no idea what I am saying\u00a0 (99 Luft Ballons by Nena<\/a>, for example, which is German).\u00a0\u00a0 I really get this song and love it.<\/p>\n

Now I know you probably feel like you are in some alternate universe when I’m singing along happily to Dutch music, but this is just such a beautiful song.\u00a0 Even more beautiful if you actually understand what he is saying.\u00a0\u00a0 I’ll try to translate for you… but remember my Dutch is still far from perfect!<\/p>\n
