It’s tiring, getting back on a work schedule again but I’m happy. It’s not at all like when I was working at the call center, I come home and do my thing with no feelings of dread about going back the next day. That is such a good feeling!

I took some photos of the office for my mother and hubby but I don’t feel right putting them on my blog. I did take some in the lobby of our office building though, because I really dig the elephant statues.

Today I went to lunch with the girls, as promised yesterday. It was nice to get to know them a bit outside of the office and they are all super friendly. They are also all in their early 20’s (I think) so they are in a stage in their lives that I’ve already left behind. When they get off work they go out for drinks and have all the energy in the world. When I get off work I come home and wait for it to be past 10pm so I can get in bed without feeling like an 80 year old. I envy their youth the same way I’m sure the 80 year old envy mine, but shit… they make me feel old and boring! Now I know how all the women I worked with felt when I was the wild 20-something at work going on about my crazy adventures the night before.

I couldn’t ask for a greater group of gals to be working with though. They are always so friendly and helpful. I hope to god it stays that way because I honestly won’t be able to stand any catty office bullshit. Probably because when it comes to drama I’m all over it like white on rice, it’s just in my nature!

Yesterday on my lunch break I didn’t know what the heck to do with myself, so I sat down at the elephant fountain taking pics of the water and testing the different best shot water functions on my camera. That’s the great thing about having a small camera that goes everywhere with you, you’re never bored, really.

Not only is tomorrow casual day but I also get off at 4:15pm rather than 6:00pm, but I get paid for a full day.
