{"id":771,"date":"2008-01-11T20:17:39","date_gmt":"2008-01-11T18:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/771"},"modified":"2010-05-26T20:44:34","modified_gmt":"2010-05-26T18:44:34","slug":"bugger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/771","title":{"rendered":"Bugger!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Vertical Labret\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/36166632@N00\/191750179\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vertical Labret\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/49\/191750179_a4f63d270a_m.jpg\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\"><\/a>For reasons I won&#8217;t go into, I decided to test out how long it takes for my vertical labret (lip piercing) to grow over if I take it out.&nbsp;&nbsp; Basically I wanted to see if I take it out for a day or so, will I be able to get it back in.<\/p>\n<p>Bad idea&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>I took it out at 11am this morning and at 6pm I started getting scared and tried to put it back in.<\/p>\n<p>It wouldn&#8217;t go in.<\/p>\n<p>BUGGER!!&nbsp; What have I done?&nbsp; I couldn&#8217;t believe that after only a few hours my piercing had started to grow over already!&nbsp;&nbsp; I figured it was probably a bad idea, but like most bad ideas I have, I did it anyway.&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#8217;m such a moron.<\/p>\n<p>I did end up getting it back in, but not without a little whimpering and eye watering.&nbsp;&nbsp; It&#8217;s tender now but it&#8217;s back in place.&nbsp; Now I know that taking this piercing out for a day just won&#8217;t work.&nbsp; If the situation ever arises that I have to not wear it somewhere, I&#8217;ll either have to let it grow over and forget about it (nooo!) or get a clear retainer piercing.&nbsp;&nbsp; I don&#8217;t quite get the retainer piercings to be honest, it&#8217;s not like you can&#8217;t still see them!<\/p>\n<p>I never did try to put my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/757\" target=\"_blank\">tongue piercing<\/a> back through because I knew I&#8217;d be too tempted to keep it if I could get it back in again.&nbsp;&nbsp; Now I know that if I ever remove the lip piercing, putting it back in won&#8217;t be an option, at least not after more than about 6 hours.&nbsp; Interesting&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wlWriterSmartContent\" id=\"scid:0767317B-992E-4b12-91E0-4F059A8CECA8:5485ffc7-a867-425c-96e9-7fb6f10db0d0\" style=\"padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-top: 0px\">Technorati Tags: <a href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tags\/Piercing\" rel=\"tag\">Piercing<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tags\/Body%20modification\" rel=\"tag\">Body modification<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tags\/Vertical%20Labret\" rel=\"tag\">Vertical Labret<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For reasons I won&#8217;t go into, I decided to test out how long it takes for my vertical labret (lip piercing) to grow over if I take it out.&nbsp;&nbsp; Basically I wanted to see if I take it out for a day or so, will I be able to get it back in.
