Ben je slimmer dan een kind?<\/a> is the Dutch version of the American TV show Are you smarter than a 5th grader?<\/a> and is my latest discovery for a fun way to learn more of the language.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure what it is I like so much about this show but I’m pretty sure that it’s the fact that I understand 95% of what is being said.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s not that they talk like they are talking to a child, but it’s easier for me to watch than a lot of other shows because there is less slang and they speak clearly.\u00a0\u00a0 It also helps that the questions that are being asked are written down so I can see them, in case I don’t catch it when it’s being read out loud.<\/p>\n

I learn a lot of new words just from watching this show, but I’ll never apply to be a contestant because god help me, ik ben NIET<\/em> slimmer dan een kind!\u00a0 If you are in the Netherlands and have a decent grasp on the language, it’s worth checking out this show.\u00a0\u00a0 You may learn something too!<\/p>\n
