Our fridge is in our bedroom, our stove is in the spare room, our washer is in the hallway. Our livingroom (in this pic) pretty much holds everything else. On the plus side, it makes getting a drink in the night easier&#8230; just roll out of bed and you&#8217;re right in front of the fridge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the kitchen looked this morning:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Photo Sharing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/breigh\/501838491\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"500\" alt=\"No more hole!\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/195\/501838491_f6b59965a3.jpg\" width=\"375\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Photo Sharing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/breigh\/501800192\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Yellow Crap\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/208\/501800192_1b6a9e824a.jpg\" width=\"375\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Photo Sharing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/breigh\/501800002\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Yellow Kitchen\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/217\/501800002_852065edb3.jpg\" width=\"375\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had to paint it last night with this yellow stuff to prepare it to be plastered today.&nbsp; The stuff smells terrible and gets quite sticky as it dries&#8230; but it didn&#8217;t take long to do since you don&#8217;t really have to make it look pretty.&nbsp;&nbsp; The only areas that are being plastered is where the tiles go behind the cupboards and the areas I want straightened out and flattened (without that weird&nbsp;rugged texture that is on the walls now) so I can paint.<\/p>\n<p>Some good and bad news &#8211; I finally decided on the tiles I want, Yay!&nbsp; Bad news is they won&#8217;t be in for three weeks&#8230; DOH!&nbsp;&nbsp; They are &#8216;Flagstone White&#8217; by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.casadolcecasa.com\/cdc_html\/prodotti\/prodotti_detail.asp?Cat=2&amp;SubCat=FLAGSTONE%20WHITE&amp;IMGCAT=FLAGSTONE&amp;IMGSUBCAT=WHITE&amp;IMGNAME=white_12.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Casa Dolce Casa<\/a>&nbsp;in Italy and I think they are sooo pretty.&nbsp; They will look lovely with the vanilla color of our kitchen.&nbsp;&nbsp; I took a closer up photo of the tiles in the shop yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Photo Sharing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/breigh\/501838335\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"463\" alt=\"My Tiles!\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/213\/501838335_b0d36e2436.jpg\" width=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I love them!&nbsp; Shame that they won&#8217;t be in for 3 weeks after the kitchen is put together but it&#8217;ll be worth waiting for.&nbsp; Plus, that will give me time to paint without having to worry about getting paint on the tiles.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Kitchen will be installed tomorrow&#8230; can&#8217;t wait!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our house is in shambles, I&#8217;m going out of my mind.&nbsp;&nbsp; Not that I&#8217;m normally a stellar housekeeper but this is just beyond.
