I just finished watching this week’s performances for American Idol.\u00a0\u00a0 Eish, does this year suck.<\/p>\n
Jordin<\/strong> did great, I’m actually starting to see her as a front runner.\u00a0 Helped that I really loved the song she sang.<\/p>\n Melinda<\/strong> also did an awesome job and I love that Simon told her to drop the surprise act every time someone compliments her, because that’s the one thing that was driving me nuts about her.<\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> … look man, you’re not Justin Timberlake and you sing like a girl.\u00a0 I used to like this guy but there’s something about the way he always jerks his head to the right after every line he sings.\u00a0 It bugs me.<\/p>\n Sanjaya<\/strong>, what in gods name is there that can be said?\u00a0 I blame Howard Stern!\u00a0 There’s no way he’s actually going to win, I’m sure Nigel Lithgow would rig the voting before he’d let that happen.\u00a0 So it’s just a matter of waiting for him to get voted off and HULA his way off stage.<\/p>\n Lakisha<\/strong> is normally one of my favorites but she really did murder that Carrie Underwood song.\u00a0 Plus, one of my fellow Cape Bretoners (Gordie Sampson – w00t!!)\u00a0won a Grammy recently for co-writing Jesus Take the Wheel so I take extra offense on his behalf to having it sung so badly.\u00a0 I still like Lakisha though and think she’s going to go to the end.<\/p>\n Blake<\/strong> – UGH!!\u00a0 In the beginning I really liked him because of his beat boxing and stuff but now he keeps doing the Elvis lip and giving those smoldering looks into the camera. YECH!\u00a0 He should have stuck with the rapper dude thing because the Rico Suave thing is a major turn off.<\/p>\n Phil<\/strong>, well the fact that I had to just go to the AI website and see if I forgot anyone and realized I forgot this guy should tell you my impression of him.\u00a0 Granted, he definitely did better this week singing country.\u00a0 He STILL makes me think of Haywire from Prison Break every time I look at him with his crazy eyes though.\u00a0 So there’s no way on earth I’ll ever be able to take him seriously.<\/p>\n Man… I remember a few seasons ago when I actually loved this show and went all out making pics and such.\u00a0 Back in the Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice days.\u00a0\u00a0 These contestants aren’t even worth opening Photoshop for, with the exception of a few.<\/p>\n
