I wasn\u2019t sure what to get my husband for Valentine\u2019s Day, but when my friend Barbara<\/a> asked if I wanted to go paint ceramics again<\/a> I decided it was a good opportunity to make him something!<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t hard to figure out what to do, as my husband\u00a0really loves robots<\/a>. I found a robot design that I thought was really cute!\u00a0 It was already Feb 10th by that time and we wouldn\u2019t be able to pick it up for two weeks but I knew that Xander wasn\u2019t fussy like that.\u00a0 He wouldn\u2019t mind waiting a bit!<\/p>\n

Thank god the pencil disappears during the baking process. \u00a0What a mess I’d made!<\/p>\n

We had a really good time that afternoon.\u00a0 I had been there once before but it was our friend Vinita\u2019s first time.<\/p>\n

While Barb and I dug into our projects the lady who owns the shop (on the right) gave Vinita a few tips and showed her the ropes.\u00a0 That lady is so friendly and what an awesome thing she gets to do every day!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately Barbara had to remake a project she\u2019d done previously.\u00a0 Before Christmas she\u2019d painted a cute little dragon for her son, but it broke while it was being baked.\u00a0 So the lady gave her another one for free so she could remake it.\u00a0 These things happen\u2026\u00a0 I\u2019d have cried if my robot love mug had broken though!<\/p>\n

Yesterday when we were out for Dim Sum<\/a> she brought me the mug, as she\u2019d gone to pick up all the projects earlier.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t even realize that the two weeks had gone by that fast, but was pleased to finally get my hands on Xander\u2019s Valentine\u2019s gift!\u00a0 He was sick yesterday and I was hoping it\u2019d make him feel a bit better.\u00a0 Gifts usually do that for me!<\/p>\n

He loves it!\u00a0 When I got home and gave it to him he ooh\u2019d and aaaah\u2019d over it while I stood there pleased as punch, all tickled like a six year old who just gave her dad his first wonky clay ashtray!<\/p>\n

He went straight to the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee to drink out of it.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad I made the smaller snob coffee sized mug, because he drinks that wretched espresso and it only requires a small cup anyway.<\/p>\n

I already have ideas for what I\u2019m going to make on my next trip!\u00a0 I\u2019ll keep ya posted!<\/p>\n
