{"id":6236,"date":"2011-02-08T21:22:58","date_gmt":"2011-02-08T20:22:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/?p=6236"},"modified":"2011-02-08T21:26:50","modified_gmt":"2011-02-08T20:26:50","slug":"30-days-of-truth-day-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/6236","title":{"rendered":"30 Days of Truth: Day 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Day19.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"Day19\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Day19_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Day19\" width=\"595\" height=\"108\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think of politics at all.\u00a0 I probably should, it\u2019d be wise to be informed but I honestly don\u2019t care about it at all.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think I even know who Canada\u2019s prime minister is at the moment. \u00a0I don&#8217;t really care, that&#8217;s probably why.\u00a0 That\u2019s pretty much all I have to say about that.<\/p>\n<p>Religion is another matter. I consider myself to be non-religious\u2026 as in, I don\u2019t believe in God, it just seems so far fetched.\u00a0 I assume that if there is a God, when the time comes he\u2019ll forgive me for having doubts.\u00a0 Besides, I think I will be more upset with him that he will be with me.\u00a0 He will have a <em>lot<\/em> of explaining to do.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think I could call myself a full fledged atheist, because I have no proof that there is NO God.\u00a0 Neither can I prove that there is one.\u00a0 I\u2019m in the middle, leaning heavily on the side of the atheists, however.<\/p>\n<p>I often envy people who have religion in their lives, who blindly believe in God and heaven and all that other business, because I think it brings them a great deal of peace.\u00a0 I wish I could believe that my Nana is in heaven waiting for me and that I\u2019ll see her again one day, but I don\u2019t.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to have the comfort that comes with that, so if it was a matter of snapping my fingers and just <em>believing<\/em> I would.\u00a0 I can\u2019t though, it\u2019s just not how I\u2019m built.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t have religion in my life but I don\u2019t judge those who do.
