Couldn’t think of another title for this blog, so I picked 00-Simms (Double O Simms) because I’m watching First Kid<\/a> on TV. The character in the movie played by Sinbad<\/a> calls himself that. I know it looks like a ridiculous movie, and it is, but there’s something enjoyable about it as well. I must have seen it four times already and still find it quite amusing.<\/p>\n

\"\" So I was right about the first one voted off American Idol<\/a>! Can’t say I’ll miss her much, her performance this week was as flat and boring as every other one she’s given so it was no surprise.<\/p>\n

I think I’ve changed my mind about the next two to go though. Mikalah<\/a> gave an incredibly poor performance this week and<\/em> last week and found herself in the bottom three, together with Jessica<\/a> who was a bit of a surprise. On the other hand, Constantine<\/a> did really well and everyone seemed to love it. So this has all thrown me for a loop. The only thing I’m still certain of is that Scott’s days are numbered!<\/p>\n

We’ve finally started working on the trim here in the house. Today Xander sanded it all with an electric sander and tomorrow I will start repainting it with a simple white. It will be SO weird to not see any more pink! Definately a good kind of weird though, for sure.<\/p>\n

Got another package from Gail<\/a> yesterday! It included a hand written letter and a CD with a video of a Cape Breton band she’d seen in concert. Wow, when I closed my eyes as I was listening to it, I’d swear I was back in Smooth Herman’s again with my girls, stomping along to some celtic song and thinking I was going to be 19 forever. This was the second hand written letter I’ve gotten in two months, which are the first I’ve gotten in 5 years! I really have to sit down and write some of these myself because I really loved getting snail mail again! Of course I shouldn’t say anything, I still have postcards sitting here that I wrote in July for Karl<\/a> and still haven’t sent! Thanks Gail!!<\/p>\n

BIG congrats out to our friends Kibbie and Tim<\/a> on the birth of their baby girl Rylie Donne<\/a> the beginning of this week. She’s beautiful!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
