\"Bailey<\/a><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve now had Titan with us<\/a> for almost three days, and he\u2019s completely won us all over.\u00a0 With the exception of bit of night time drama the first night in his crate, he\u2019s been an absolute dream to have around.\u00a0 Now that he\u2019s sleeping peacefully in his crate through the night, I think I can say he\u2019s the perfect dog.\u00a0 He\u2019s calm, much more calm than our two nutjobs, he is very cuddly, obedient and an absolute pleasure to take out for a walk.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s charming, that\u2019s what he is! \u00a0He’s a little Charmy McCharmypants.\u00a0\u00a0He\u2019s so cute that we will all let him get away with anything!<\/p>\n

Even the dogs will let him get away with things we\u2019ve never imagined. He can hang out with them, sleep next to them and has turned my dogs from antisocial little wackos<\/a> to calm, accepting members of a pack (oh yes, I watch the Dog Whisperer<\/a>).<\/p>\n

There is only one problem though, the little dude is playing us like a fiddle!<\/p>\n

See the photo up there of Bailey next to me on my chair?\u00a0 That\u2019s his favorite place in the world.\u00a0 He will spend most of his day \u2018checking in\u2019 with me to see if now is a good time for him to come up for a snooze.\u00a0 I\u2019ll either tell him no or I\u2019ll scoot over to make space for him.\u00a0 The more squeezed in he is, the happier he becomes.<\/p>\n

You may be wondering what this has to do with Titan.\u00a0 Well\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Titan<\/a><\/p>\n

Apparently Titan likes it in there as well!\u00a0 So now the race is on when I sit on my chair. Who will get here first? Who can jump the quickest?\u00a0 Who is able to leap onto my lap and contort themselves into a pretzel to turn around and squish themselves into the gap first.\u00a0 On this occasion, Titan was the quickest and Bailey was not a happy camper, but let him keep the spot.\u00a0 He looked at me with what appeared to be unforgiving eyes and then went to the sofa to sulk.<\/p>\n

I felt bad but look how cute Titan looks!\u00a0 I knew Bailey had a lifetime of hip squish in his future, and he needed to learn to share anyway.\u00a0 At least that\u2019s what I told myself.<\/p>\n

He stayed in that spot for over an hour, with the most adorable little snore\u2026 I didn\u2019t want to get up and disturb him, so I sat there knitting and watching TV shows as he snoozed.<\/p>\n

\"Pixel<\/a><\/p>\n

Bailey isn\u2019t the only one who has fallen victim to this!\u00a0 A few weeks ago I posted the above photo on Facebook because Pixel was looking so cute basking in the sun in her basket.\u00a0 The dogs love this basket, especially since I caved and put one of our really cushy pillows in there.\u00a0 One or the other can usually be found curled passed out in this spot. Other than their crates, this is the one place they can lay down undisturbed for a nap without having to worry about anyone wanting them to share their space. Until recently, anyway\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Basket<\/a><\/p>\n

Titan is a basket ninja!\u00a0 On the times that Bailey wins the great race to the chair and Pixel isn\u2019t paying attention, he\u2019s in that basket before you can say WHATTHEHELLTHATSMYSPOT!<\/p>\n

The dogs don\u2019t seem to mind and there are no power plays to try to get him to move, so I can only assume that they too have been won over by his charms. Thus tolerating his basket hogging tendencies.<\/p>\n

There are limits to what we will tolerate though.\u00a0 Just this morning there was an incident.\u00a0 A standoff, if you will.<\/p>\n

\"WHATTHEHELLTHATSMYSPOT!\"<\/a><\/p>\n

WHATTHEHELLTHATSMYSPOT!! Unacceptable!<\/p>\n

Xander had gotten up a few minutes before me this morning and when I came out to the living room I found this.\u00a0 Titan had taken up residence in my<\/em> chair behind my<\/em> laptop!<\/p>\n

I was all, dude\u2026 that\u2019s my spot!<\/em><\/p>\n

Then he was all like\u2026 not anymore, foo!<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s when I got all pack leader on his ass and showed him who was boss.<\/p>\n

I got all up on him and was like \u2026 Down, get down! DOWN!!!! *Snap fingers * psst! <\/em> Cesar Millan would have been proud.<\/p>\n

\"Compromise<\/a><\/p>\n

Ok, not really.\u00a0 I was completely owned.<\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t Cesar once say something about compromise?\u00a0 No really, I’m pretty sure he did.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
