On June 12th Xander and I hopped in the car and headed off to the Hard Rock Cafe<\/a> in Amsterdam for Bitchsterdam 2.\u00a0 For those of you wondering what Bitchsterdam is, it\u2019s a gathering of bloggers, organized by DutchBitch<\/a>, that has taken place two years in a row now when Dave from Blogography<\/a> and Penelope<\/a> come over to this side of the pond.<\/p>\n

I missed the first year, I can\u2019t remember why but it was either because money was too tight or one of us was sick, probably me.\u00a0\u00a0 There was no way I was going to miss it this year because they had far too much fun without me last year.<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

Also because there was an old friend<\/a> and a new blogging pal<\/a> I really wanted to see.<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

And meet them I did!\u00a0 It was fantastic to finally be all in the same place after months of Facebooking, chatting and tweeting about it!<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

Five of us bloggers from NL showed up.\u00a0 I count hubby because he DOES have a blog<\/a>, even if it\u2019s all about Lego. You can tell he really hated being surrounded by all these women.\u00a0 He and Dave were seriously outnumbered.<\/p>\n

There were a lot of these\u2026<\/p>\n

Which lead to things like this\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

Aah, that\u2019s better, very pretty!<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

There was LOT of this going on too as the American and the Brit in the group argued over who was going to win the USA vs England game that day.<\/p>\n

Oh dear\u2026 a tie.\u00a0 What will they argue about now?<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

Perhaps the correct way to do jazz hands<\/a>?<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

DutchBitch was all, me me me, look at me, have you seen me today?\u00a0 Me me, more me, hello!! meeeee!!<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

Just in case you weren\u2019t paying attention!<\/p>\n

Oh that DutchBitch, I know I make her out to be a total attention whore but she was actually the most shy and quiet one at the table, if you can believe it! Don\u2019t tell her I told you though, she has a rep to protect!<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

After almost 10 years, I finally got to see my friend Renee<\/a> again. She was one of the first expats I ever met here in the Netherlands and unfortunately, due to distance and my going into hiding in the first few years, we lost touch.\u00a0 We found each other again though, thank you FACEBOOK<\/a>!!<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

It would appear we haven\u2019t matured much over those 10 years\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Bitchsterdam<\/a><\/p>\n

This is me and Dave.\u00a0 Dave is a celebrity.\u00a0 No, seriously\u2026\u00a0 we were all sitting around the table when this random Dutch dude walks up to him and says \u201cHey, you\u2019re Dave, I read your blog!!\u201d.\u00a0 This was followed by screams from everyone at the table.\u00a0 I had to get a photo with him, so I can be cool and famous by association.<\/p>\n

Pity the photo taken of the entire group didn’t work out, I think the waiter was a little too shaky because we all came out in a giant blur. \u00a0Although, turning the flash on for him might have helped. Oops!<\/p>\n

I should have taken photos of the food, because it was just ridiculous.\u00a0 I took a \u2018free day\u2019 from Weight Watchers and ate a cheeseburger the size of my head.\u00a0 Which was possibly followed up by a hot fudge sundae with brownie.\u00a0 Actually<\/em>, I was literally<\/em> still full the next day at dinner time\u2026<\/p>\n

I will never be able to say literally <\/strong>again with a straight face.<\/p>\n
