\"Spencer\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It occurred to me today that this month is the 14th anniversary of mine and Spencer<\/a>\u2019s life together.\u00a0 He has been with me from Prince Edward Island<\/a>, to Toronto<\/a> and finally over here to the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

I found him in 1996, I was 21 and had just moved out of home for the first time.\u00a0 I was in a small pet shop in Charlottetown, PEI and I knew he was the one for me the minute I saw him clinging to the door of the cage calling out to me.\u00a0 Little did I know how much more whining he had left in him. I\u2019m still waiting for him to run out!<\/p>\n

\"Spencer\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He always has been quite nosy and in your face.<\/p>\n

He will also get into absolutely everything<\/a> if given half a chance.<\/p>\n

Trying to keep him out\u00a0 is absolutely pointless<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s probably my own fault because I do spoil him a bit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t help it\u2026 How could you resist these eyes?<\/p>\n

\"Spencer\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2026 or not giggle when these whiskers tickle your nose?<\/p>\n

\"Spencer\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When it comes to me, Spencer has seniority in this house.\u00a0 After 14 years together, he is the longest relationship I\u2019ve had with anyone I currently live with. Even my husband!\u00a0\u00a0 He really is my main man, and he knows it.\u00a0 He rules the roost and not even Xander will cross him, he knows better!<\/p>\n

\"Spencer\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He also knows that if he gives me this look I will back off and quit taking so many photos.\u00a0 He\u2019ll always amuse me for a while but his patience does have limits.\u00a0\u00a0 I thought Bailey<\/strong> was bad for <\/em>giving me the stink eye<\/em><\/a>!\u00a0 Clearly Spencer has been showing him how it\u2019s done.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve come a long way together and it hasn\u2019t always been easy.\u00a0 He drives me absolutely bananas, but I love him. To be honest, I don\u2019t think I have a choice\u2026 if I didn\u2019t, he\u2019d kick my ass.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
