\"Cucumber<\/a><\/p>\n

As I mentioned in my last Veggie Files update<\/a>, patience is not something I have a large supply of.\u00a0 I got really tired of waiting for lettuce to show up in my lettuce pot, so I stuck a few seeds a bit more shallow in the pot with my cucumber, and whattya know!\u00a0 A few days later, I have lettuce sprouts!<\/p>\n

Good thing I did that too because there\u2019s still not a damn thing to be found in my lettuce pot.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s because there\u2019s no holes in the bottom so the excess water can\u2019t run off. That\u2019s my guess anyway, since it\u2019s the only big difference from the other pots.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to chuck the soil back in the bag and use it for something else, because it clearly isn\u2019t working with the lettuce in that pot.<\/p>\n

My beans are still growing like weeds, I\u2019m pretty sure they may need to be replanted soon, I have about 7 plants in that one pot.\u00a0 I have no idea when I am supposed to know when to replant them, I assume it\u2019s when they look sturdy enough for moving.<\/p>\n

I believe I also need to put some sort of sticks in the pot to help the plants stay up.\u00a0 Do you just tie them to the sticks or do they wind themselves up around them?\u00a0 I suppose I should Google this stuff soon if I want to keep these suckers alive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
