{"id":428,"date":"2006-08-16T13:08:52","date_gmt":"2006-08-16T11:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/428"},"modified":"2006-08-16T13:13:06","modified_gmt":"2006-08-16T11:13:06","slug":"aliens-in-my-bed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/428","title":{"rendered":"Aliens in My Bed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night I was lying in bed after putting down my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0671027387\/canadutch-20\/104-9305078-2983906\" target=\"_blank\">book<\/a> and I got to thinking about aliens.<\/p>\n<p>I often think of weird shit before falling asleep and last night was no different.   <\/p>\n<p>I was wondering why we always assume that if aliens exist that they are these seriously futuristic smartypantses with a brain twice as big as ours and technology light years ahead of us.   Why, in movies, are they always smarter and wanting to dissect or inseminate us? <\/p>\n<p>If there is life out there, isn&#8217;t it just as possible that they are foot long slugs that can&#8217;t travel the length of themselves in five minutes, let alone across the galaxy?  <\/p>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t it possible that they are really stupid animal like creatures that sit around picking their noses all day, if they even HAVE noses?<\/p>\n<p>I think we give aliens far too much credit&#8230; if they exist, I mean.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night I was lying in bed after putting down my book and I got to thinking about aliens.
