Well it’s almost 9am and I’m just sitting here waiting for Xander to wake up. Which shouldn’t be long judging but the amount of meowing Spencer is doing. He is such a pain in the ass in the mornings. I think he may be hungry but Xander got up earlier to get after him when he was being loud and I think he may have fed him then, and the last<\/strong> thing Spencer needs is two helpings of food.Something smells REALLY foul coming in my window. Jesus.. at least I hope it’s coming in from outside.. eek!<\/p>\n

I started setting up the gaming computer yesterday. I decided to try to use my old 15 inch monitor rather than the 21 inch, and leave the big one in the bedroom for watching DivX on. I just realized how very crap the small monitor really was, I’m going to try to make do with it for now though. I’ve been chatting on the Stratics Forums<\/a> with some old friends from UO<\/a> and am really starting to look forward to going back. Whether I’ll stay is an entirely different matter, but I’m definately going to go check it out. I’m still waiting to hear about the Euro Beta of World of Warcraft<\/a> but no luck yet. Some others have signed up for some Stress Test Beta but I couldn’t be arsed to go through the trouble other euros have had to in order to get in, getting a fake North American IP etc.<\/p>\n

Any minute now Xander is going to come out of the bedroom and strangle Spencer, I know it.<\/p>\n

The weather is really picking up here, after a week or two of just rainy crapness it’s bright and sunny again. I’m tempted to pack up and head for the beach but I really wanted to get a lot of things done around the house this weekend, it really needs it. Of course, the house will be here during the winter greys, but the sun won’t. Oh what a dilema. I’ll probably stay home, mostly because I am scared of Xander getting that weird itching thing again on his back that he got the last time when he got a little burn. He was freaking OUT<\/em>. Oh, I’m also too lazy to do the walk to get there again today. Oh how I wish we had a car.. *whines*<\/p>\n

There’s something that annoys me, that I wonder if it annoys only me. I spend a lot of time chatting online. I have IRC, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ open all the time, even if I’m not at my computer.. so people can pretty much reach me anytime, or at least leave a message for me for when I get back. This makes for a lot of chatting, which I admit can get boring after a while.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I’m getting off track… I can’t stand people who keep sending me links. I absolutely hate it. Some of the time I lie and say “haha that was funny” which can be risky because not everything people send is a joke, so mostly I say “Oh cool :)”. That generally covers all my bases. Is it just me? Am I the only one who is really irritated by this? If someone sends me an email and I can see it’s been forwarded between 1000 people, my first instinct is to groan. I’ll look and see what it is and when it turns out to be some touchy feely emotional moral of the story garbage I end up wanting to punch people.<\/p>\n

Oh, and don’t even get me started on those goddamn chain letters. When I’m chatting with someone and suddenly a link pops up, no explaination, no nothing.. 9 times out of 10 I wish I’d never clicked it. Either it’s something I’ve already clicked after 2 other people had popped the link up at me, or it’s just stupid and I wish I hadn’t the first time. Sure, there’s that rare occasion where it’s something genuinely funny or interesting, but more often it’s just not. Jokes, news clippings, dirty pictures, frightening little mind tricks, whatever. I … cannot … stand … it!!! Especially if the person gives no explaination. If I’m talking to someone and they bring up a subject “Hey, today I was looking around [enter website here] and found this really interesting [enter topic\/page here] have a look” then I’m less likely to get pissed off. If the link pops up out of nowhere and I open it, I’m probably just going to go “What the hell do I care about this? Why are you showing me this? Piss off with your links!”. Why do some people feel the need to explain everything with a link while chatting? Just explain things to me, don’t send me to some website where I have to dig for the info!! Ahhh oh man this rant feels good. So yeah, is it just me?<\/p>\n
