This morning we woke up to a bit of snow in the Netherlands.\u00a0 At 10am my husband and I hopped in the car and set off to Kinderdijk<\/a>! I\u2019ve been there a number of times, the first time back in 2007 with the girls<\/a>, then in 2008 with my parents<\/a> and also once or twice with my husband.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been wanting to visit Kinderdijk during winter and hoped that I\u2019d be able to get some photos of people ice skating there this year, but it doesn\u2019t look like that is going to happen.\u00a0 I thought since we\u2019re coming up to February soon I should take the chance to get some shots of Kinderdijk in the snow while I can.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad we went as early as we did because by the time we left it was already starting to melt.<\/p>\n

\"Winter<\/a><\/p>\n

Another reason I wanted to go was because taking photos of Kinderdijk in the winter was on my 101 list<\/a>. Although I\u2019ve taken a lot of photos of Kinderdijk and windmills, I wanted to try to capture it in the winter as well.\u00a0\u00a0 I felt like I\u2019ve done the windmill photos so much already that I tried to get photos of other things while still showing where I was.\u00a0\u00a0 The windmills are still there, they just aren\u2019t always the main focus of the photos.\u00a0 I took quite a few but will try to just show a few favorites so it doesn\u2019t take you two years to load this.<\/p>\n
