Yesterday was our 4th anniversary and it was such a great day. We got up and had a nice breakfast then we all hopped in the car and drove up to Baddeck<\/a>. We just walked around and had a look in all the little craft\/gift shops. Went for a drive around the bay. It was a nice sunny day but kind of windy so the air was still chilly. Later we drove up to the Gaelic College<\/a> to have a look around and visit their gift shop.After our driving around and bit of sight seeing we stopped at a restaurant out near Seal Island called The Ceder House. My family used to go there all the time when I lived in Canada. They are only open during the summer months and are so popular that usually when you go, you have to stand in line outside waiting for a table. It was soooo good! Xander loved it there too, I figure we’ll prob go back at least once before we leave.<\/p>\n

After dinner we came home and just hung around feeling stuffed. Mom and I watched that damn American Idol<\/a>. I never watched the Dutch Idol back home and we didn’t get Canadian or American Idol so I never watched this show there. So the other night mom got me to watch “Disco Night” for American Idol and I thought it was pretty good, I found myself calculating who I think should stay.. and who should go.<\/p>\n

I think Jasmine<\/a> should have been kicked off last night, without a doubt! I saw her on the show for Disco Night and I absolutely hated her. Not only could she not sing for shit but the whole oh boo hoo vote for me crap just.. ugh!!!<\/p>\n

America .. you are BONEHEADS for kicking off La Toya<\/a>. It just goes to show that I was absolutely right about these shows in the first place. It’s just a big popularity contest that has nothing to do with their musical talent whatsoever<\/em>! Just millions of horny teenage boys across America voting for the one thing think is hot. Dumbass show..<\/p>\n

Of course, I’ll still watch for the rest of the time I’m here.. If that Jasmine wins I’m going to lose all faith in the collective intelligence of the American public.<\/p>\n

Oh, I’m not going to be getting my DL while I’m home. It costs like $50 or something and since we’re not moving back here till this time next year, it seems pointless to get it now when I won’t even be here for the next year. I get 3 years after my DL expires to renew it before I have to retake the test, so I said screw it. I’d rather spend the $50 on some new T-shirts or something.<\/p>\n
