On Wednesday night Xander and I were going out to see Star Trek<\/a> \u2013 OMG What an awesome movie!!! \u2013 and I was getting cranky because he was rushing me.\u00a0\u00a0 Also because I was sleep deprived… AND PMSing.\u00a0 Seriously, he should have known better.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, as I ran around getting dressed and brushing my teeth, I was mumbling and bitching at him.\u00a0 This continued in the theater after he refused to get a drink of his own, instead saying he\u2019ll \u201cjust take a sip of mine\u201d, which I hate.\u00a0 I am always thirsty and run out before the movie is over and with his help I run out even sooner.\u00a0\u00a0 He says it\u2019s pointless for him to get a drink because he won\u2019t finish it, but he doesn\u2019t get that I\u2019d probably just finish his too, seeing as even on my own mine is gone by halfway through the movie anyway.<\/p>\n

So I told him I wasn\u2019t going to share, and moved my bottle of blue water to the holder on the other side, away from him.\u00a0\u00a0 Mostly teasing, but still hoping he\u2019d get the hint and go get his own, which he didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>GOD!\u00a0 You are contrary today!\u00a0 Downright ornery.\u00a0 You\u2019re CONTRORNERY!!!\u00a0 That\u2019s what I\u2019m going to call you, contrornery!\u00a0 You are so cranky there has been an entirely new word invented to describe it.<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>Oh whatever.\u00a0 I still don\u2019t get why you won\u2019t just get your own.<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>CONTRORNERY!!<\/em><\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>OH yeah, well you\u2019re\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>I\u2019m what?!<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>WHATEVER.<\/em><\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>bwahaha<\/p>\n

*A few minutes pass*<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>You\u2019re a MOTARD!\u00a0 That\u2019s what you are, a Moh-TARD<\/strong>!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Xander:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Took you long enough. \u00a0So, what\u2019s that?\u00a0 A retard and a what?<\/p>\n

Me:<\/strong> A MORON.<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>Well, it sounds like moutarde, which is French for mustard. I\u2019ve been called worse.<\/p>\n

Me:<\/strong> I don\u2019t care, it\u2019s still better than your word.\u00a0 It\u2019s easier to say and sounds better.<\/p>\n

Xander:<\/strong>\u00a0 Mine is better. Contrornery, which you still are.<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>I guarantee within a month you\u2019ll be using my word back at me, because deep down you know it\u2019s better and won\u2019t be able to resist calling me a motard, because it\u2019s a way cooler word than yours.<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>No I won\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong> Hrmm, maybe I should have said MOR-tard.\u00a0 Then it doesn\u2019t sound like mustard in French. MORTARD!!<\/p>\n

Xander: <\/strong>Hmm\u2026<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 <\/strong>No, then it sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings.<\/p>\n

*We both proceed to raise our arms and exclaim \u201cTO MORTARD!!\u201d <\/em><\/strong>*<\/p>\n

Xander:<\/strong> haaaaaaaaahahahahaa<\/p>\n

Me:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0*Squealing with laughter* Oh god, we really are geeks aren\u2019t we?\u00a0 We are sitting in a theater waiting to see Star Trek while making up our own language and roleplaying Lord of the Rings.<\/p>\n

Xander:<\/strong> ** Gasp For Breath** haaaaahahahahahaha\u00a0 <\/em>It\u2019s True!!<\/p>\n

Me: <\/strong>I\u2019m so embarrassed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
