In English routines (roo-teens) are patterns or habits you follow every day, but in Dutch routines (roo-teen-uhs) are the day to day phrases I learn in class and have to try to remember. Both have me totally exhausted. How sad is that? I really need to get back into a regular sleep pattern so I’m more attentive in class and don’t find myself sitting there yawning.

It’s been different there now that we are back from the break. Maybe it’s because everyone is just back from vacation and aren’t into the whole learning thing yet. It just seems like the overall tone of the class is sort of dull and lacking any real enthusiasm. I think it might have something to do with the fact that we lost a few of the fun members from the group because they didn’t pass. Including my Columbian friend I liked so much. *Sigh*

The Chinese girl in my class came in today and said it was her last day with us and that she is being transferred to a class in her neighbourhood. The school she apparently will be going to is only five minutes from my house. I wish everyone would get it straight because it seems like nobody knows which way is up. Why do they send me 45 minutes away when there is a class only a few minutes away?

Part of me wants to just leave it alone and stay where I am. Although now that a chunk of the people I really enjoyed being in the class with are gone, I’m not sure if it’s worth all the extra time getting there. There are still some people I like though, and my teachers are nice. Getting to sleep in an hour later is also extremely nice as well! I will have to think on it some more, the little voice in the back of my mind is saying “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it!”

Today I had no desire to go at all, at the last minute I got up and zoomed around the house like the Tazmanian Devil to get ready. I got to school and the computers weren’t working. So we couldn’t do the work we were supposed to do for the first half of the morning. Bah!

Why can’t it be like in The Matrix? It would be so great if someone could just upload the Dutch language into my brain.

Still haven’t heard back from our stupid insurance company. By the time I get the damn light, winter will be over!

Mood: Tired!
