Well it’s been a few weeks now and Google still has shown absolutely no interest in helping me with my problem. From what I can tell someone must have hacked into my gmail account and deleted both the email account and the Orkut account that was attached to it, thus taking over all the communities I owned on there.<\/p>\n
To be honest, Orkut really is no loss at all, I really hated that place and the only reason I still went there was to manage the communities, so that’s a load off really. I don’t really like not having access to my email address though, it’s been my main address for a long time now and there was a lot of info in there that I needed.<\/p>\n
When I first realized what happened I went through the proper channels, I sent an email via the help site from Google explaining what happened and they replied asking for more information. I sent the information they asked for and got another email asking for MORE <\/em>information. One of the pieces of information they needed was the link from the original invitation email I got inviting me to gmail.<\/p>\n Originally I was invited to gmail and made my account with the wrong name, so I re-invited myself to create the email address that I wanted. I had the email from inviting myself but not the email in my hotmail account with the link I was given to create the account. So because I was missing that ONE piece of info from an email TWO YEARS AGO<\/strong>, even though I had everything else, they won’t help me. Not only will they not help me get my account back but they won’t even tell me anything about it. Assholes.<\/p>\n Anyway that’s the end of me and google.
