I’m finally free of the flowers and girlie shit, aaaah it feels good! I was at the point where I had no interest in writing in my blog because I really hated my site, that’s sad. Not anymore though! A new look and a new name, and so much easier to work with! Except plugins and widgets, I’m still struggling with those!<\/p>\n
Anyhow, my parents are here and gone *sigh* We really did have an awesome time. It was great to see them again and be able to spend time with them, if only the visit wasn’t so short. I do think my father would have lost his mind though, if he had to stay any longer haha I can definately see where my lack of adaptability comes from! I know he enjoyed himself and it was great to see him, but I’m pretty sure we are both in agreement that he thrives better in his own environment!<\/p>\n
My mother taught me how to make pie crust, and now I’m a pie making fool. This weekend I made strawberry rhubarb pie for the very first time and lemme tell ya, it was DELICIOUS… or to quote Xander “orgasmic”. I’ve only had strawberry rhubarb pie twice in my life or something and when I saw rhubarb in the shop here, I knew it had to be done. Now I have to try to get my mits on some strawberries and rhubarb to freeze so I can make a pie during the winter when they are out of season. They aren’t IN season long here in NL and don’t last long in the shops.<\/p>\n
My mother and I have decided to start trying to make trips on our own. For me to go home sometimes without Xander and her to come here without dad. Simply because it’s cheaper and we can see each other more often than when we are trying to travel with two people. I’ll probably try to get home sometime in the fall for a few weeks and just chill out and be Canadian for a while. I do hate the idea of travelling without Xander though… I hate flying! Not because I’m scared we’re going to crash, but because I’m always so worried about where I’m going to sit and with who. Lets face it, my ass is way huger than any airplane seat and when Xander is with me it’s great because he has a wee narrow boy ass so it doesn’t matter if some of my hip invades his seat. Some stranger may not feel the same though.<\/p>\n
Guess it gives me a good excuse (not like I need one other than being fat) to diet before the fall. This doesn’t really jive with my new pie making ability though …<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
