{"id":1880,"date":"2008-12-19T09:53:41","date_gmt":"2008-12-19T07:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/?p=1880"},"modified":"2008-12-19T09:58:42","modified_gmt":"2008-12-19T07:58:42","slug":"its-not-such-a-small-world-after-all","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/1880","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Not Such a Small World After All"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Cologne Christmas Market\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/36166632@N00\/3107195282\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/3229\/3107195282_c4926fcd7b.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Cologne Christmas Market\" width=\"455\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is my favorite photo from my trip to\u00a0 Cologne, and it\u2019s of a complete stranger.<\/p>\n<p>I was trying to take a photo through the crowd of a really beautiful stall with Chinese lanterns.\u00a0 It was towards the end of the day and I was getting tired and a little frustrated with the crowd.\u00a0 This guy saw me taking the photo and decided he wanted to be in it.<\/p>\n<p>It all happened in the matter of a few seconds but this was the result.\u00a0\u00a0 He just stopped and smiled in my photo and continued on in the crowd.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to explain but it was really cool just having this \u2018moment\u2019 with a total stranger.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone always says what a small world it is but this photo reminds me just how small a part of it we are.\u00a0 I\u2019ll probably never cross paths with him again, he\u2019ll probably never see this photo.\u00a0\u00a0 I do wonder about him though, he seems to have such a friendly face but for all I know he could be an axe murderer.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I wonder where he is from and what language he speaks, is he a dad? a dentist? a construction worker?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll never know, but I\u2019ll always have this really cool photo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is my favorite photo from my trip to\u00a0 Cologne, and it\u2019s of a complete stranger.
