A while back I saw that Zhu<\/a> had a post called Pay it Forward<\/a>.\u00a0 I first thought of the movie by that name<\/a>, but it turned out she was taking part in the same sort of thing only over blogs.\u00a0 Here is how it was described:<\/p>\n

the exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and pay it forward in their own way.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Zhu received a gift from a blogger in France, and I was chosen for her to send a gift to from Canada!<\/p>\n

Oh my word\u2026 homesick much?!<\/p>\n

She wrote a nice little note on the back of the postcard and obviously she knows me well because the pages of that calendar will be worn through by the time I\u2019m done.<\/p>\n

If you think I\u2019m kidding, here is a little confession.\u00a0 At the end of 2007 my mother sent me a 2008 Canadian calendar.\u00a0 When I opened the package (which had other things as well) I got so excited I had to pee, so I took the calendar in with me.\u00a0 It\u2019s been sitting in the \u2018reading materials\u2019 spot ever since.<\/p>\n

It even still has the post it note mom put on it.\u00a0\u00a0 Every so often while I\u2019m sitting on the throne I\u2019ll grab the calendar and look through it.\u00a0\u00a0 I know it\u2019s weird, bite me.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, I was going to say it is probably time to retire the 2008 Canada toilet calendar but I know that\u2019s a lie.\u00a0 I\u2019ll just be adding a 2009 one.\u00a0 Thanks Zhu!<\/p>\n

So, now with the fun part!\u00a0\u00a0 I get to choose three people to send a little something to!\u00a0 So here\u2019s what you do.\u00a0 Post a sort of \u2018pick me pick me!\u2019 comment here and on Friday I will pick names out of a hat (unless only three people comment\u2026 then, congratulations! You\u2019ve been picked!).\u00a0 Then I will send a little something your way and it will be your turn.<\/p>\n
