Ohmygosh, how great does this yarn look in the herringbone stitch? I’ve wanted to try this stitch for a while and made a little swatch when I received the yarn. I knew right away that I was going to knit this like my life depended on it.<\/p>\n
So here’s the thing about the herringbone stitch, it looks like it may be difficult, but it’s really not. What it\u00a0is\u00a0<\/em>is slightly time consuming, it takes a while and isn’t something you just ‘whip up’ as such, but it’s not hard. What is\u00a0also is<\/em> is freaking beautiful. Absolutely freaking beautiful.<\/p>\n GORGEOUS EVEN! The colours, so pretty, so happy. I heart this! Amazeballs!<\/p>\n I like to call this a listening stitch. If you are like me and you enjoy watching TV or listening to audiobooks or podcasts, the latter definitely works a lot better when working the herringbone. Once you get into the rhythm of working the stitch, it flows nicely but it does require you to actually look at the work. While I can breeze along without looking while knitting stockinette or garter stitch, that is not the case with this. I’ve now knit about a bazillion herringbone stitches and I saw each and every one of them. So, it’s something you knit while listening to things, not watching, just a tip, so you can get your podcasts ready now!<\/p>\n I’m still putting the finishing touches on this project, going back and forth between two options… back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. I’m so indecisive, it’s ridiculous.<\/p>\n I will try to put together a photo tutorial (or possibly video… no, I hate my voice on video, it’ll be photos) when I release the pattern, to help you along, because it’s so worth knowing!<\/p>\n I’m excited for you to see this finished.
