{"id":14998,"date":"2015-07-30T15:27:50","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T13:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/?p=14998"},"modified":"2017-03-21T07:41:29","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T06:41:29","slug":"stone-washed-delivery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/archives\/14998","title":{"rendered":"Stone Washed Delivery!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Look what arrived at my house not too long ago&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15001\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi4-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"Scheepjes Stone Washed\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi4-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aren&#8217;t the colors great together? \u00a0While browsing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/Breigh\" target=\"_blank\">Ravelry<\/a>\u00a0a while back I came across a project I really loved. \u00a0I stuck it in my favorites so I wouldn&#8217;t forget about it and went on to work my way through my long,\u00a0<em>loooong,\u00a0<\/em>list of projects that were waiting to be finished. \u00a0Recently I was trying to think of what yarn to use, as I had this very specific color combination in mind, with a greenish yellow, dark grey and light grey \/ black. \u00a0I had very nearly chosen a\u00a0slightly\u00a0alternate color scheme using Scheepjes Soft Fun Denim (used in my\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/archives\/14328\" target=\"_blank\">Sundry Shawl WIP)<\/a>\u00a0when I realized I happened across the color card for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scheepjeswol.com\/nl\/collectie\/katoen\/stone-washed-28623\/\" target=\"_blank\">Scheepjes Stone Washed<\/a>\u00a0and saw that it had the perfect colors for what I had in mind.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14999\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi2-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"Scheepjes Stone Washed\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi2-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love finding exactly the colors I am looking for in the same yarn. \u00a0I know you feel my pain, if you knit or crochet you&#8217;ll know exactly what I mean. \u00a0Getting an idea in your head for a project only to spend ages searching different yarns, because each one you find will have two of the three colors you need, or the yarn that does have the perfect colors is the wrong weight. \u00a0The constant battle to find the perfect yarn in the perfect colors. \u00a0It&#8217;s kind of like finding a four leaf clover when you do find it, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breigh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi3-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"stonewashedcardi3\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi3-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.canadutch.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/stonewashedcardi3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found it, though, and I think this upcoming project is going to be pretty sweet. \u00a0I&#8217;ll give you a few hints:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s bigger than a pair of mittens and smaller than a blanket<\/li>\n<li>It has stripes<\/li>\n<li>My kniting guru Staci over at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.verypink.com\" target=\"_blank\">verypink.com<\/a>\u00a0knitted one a while back<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, can you guess?\u00a0I&#8217;m guessing probably not, since I posted about it many, many months ago and only on Facebook. \u00a0I guess you&#8217;ll all just have to wait and see!
