That\u2019s how long until the first day of Autumn.\u00a0 It sounds like a long time but it\u2019s not really, and we\u2019ve not even had a summer yet (we didn\u2019t last year either<\/a>).\u00a0\u00a0 I want to go back to France, where it was warm and dry.\u00a0\u00a0 Barring my horrid sunburn<\/a>, I loved it there\u2026 and I only got the burn because I enjoyed being out in the sun so much!<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been chubby to some extent but I\u2019ve always loved being out swimming, doing things with my friends and just generally being active.\u00a0\u00a0 I loved the sun, I would lay in it for hours, spend every day I possibly could at the beach.\u00a0\u00a0 Here in the Netherlands, what do I do?\u00a0 Stay inside with the blinds down<\/em> and the fan on<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ok yes, I had gained some weight since moving here but could it have made that much of a difference??\u00a0 I\u2019ve always wondered why suddenly I couldn\u2019t move in the summer without sweating buckets.\u00a0\u00a0 That the things I used to do and love in Canada now were a total misery because I had sweat trickling down my back.<\/p>\n

Once I went to France and experienced the heat there, I realized what a dry heat actually is an that Holland is indeed just one big sweaty armpit of a country.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t all about me and my fat afterall!<\/p>\n

So now here we are and it\u2019s almost 7am and still pretty much dark outside because the sun is nowhere to be seen.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s summer and I have to get up and turn my lights on.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know whether to be happy or sad about this because we have only a few weeks left of summer, but when it is hot it\u2019s wet and I don\u2019t like that either.<\/p>\n

It has rained almost the entire month of July, and the days it was sunny there was like 88% humidity, who wants to go out and do anything in that.\u00a0\u00a0 Also, it was never consistently sunny.\u00a0\u00a0 The day may have started out sunny but ended in rain, or started in rain and ended up sunny.\u00a0 Either way, we were never really able to make plans to go to the beach and keep them.<\/p>\n

I really don\u2019t think I\u2019m going to see the beach this year, which sucks\u2026 because it\u2019s the only time I\u2019m happy in the summer in the Netherlands because there may be sun and sweat, but there\u2019s also coooool refreshing water for me to dunk myself in.<\/p>\n

Oh, and another little bitch about the rain.\u00a0\u00a0 We decided to get a puppy before my parents come in October because we didn\u2019t want to be going out walking the dog 100 times a day in the winter.\u00a0 We wanted time to get the pup and get her housebroken before my parents arrived.<\/p>\n

Have you EVER tried to housebreak a puppy when it rains every day?\u00a0\u00a0 She tries to fold herself up origami-style in any dry spot she can find and the walks are more like drag and whines.\u00a0 Not pleasant.\u00a0\u00a0 I can\u2019t poop when I\u2019m distressed either!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s definitely making an already difficult task much worse.<\/p>\n
