WTB Immune System!

Buying Immune System!  Does anyone have one for sale?

The dizziness is almost totally gone now, finally.  The doc told me that my bloodwork came back ok but that there was levels of something or other that lead him to think I have a virus, which was causing the vertigo.  I was all, cool… give me something to make it go away.

His answer:  Just wait a few weeks, don’t stand up too quickly or turn your head too much.

Yeah, that shouldn’t be too hard!

This weekend I felt great.  I even ripped up the carpet in our bedroom and did loads of other stuff.   Finally, I was feeling better and could move without feeling like I was about to fall over.

Yesterday Xander sprayed this Ajax crap in the shower and the fumes from it made me cough and get all weird.   It was really strong and for the rest of the day I had this wheezy sort of cough.   We tried airing out the house and getting me out of the house but nothing worked.

This morning I woke up with a sore throat and a runny nose. Umm.. WTF?!

A while back I thought I had a cold, but it turned out to be allergies. Allergies to what I have no idea but it wasn’t a cold.   I’m hoping that’s the same problem now because if I get a cold I’m gonna be PISSED!

I already took a bunch of days off work the week before last because I could barely stand up with that vertigo shit.   Now, no matter how shit I feel I will have to tough it out and go to work.  Snot and all.

If it is a cold, I have a theory.   I have no immune system.

Here’s what I figure…   I’ve spent so much time here by myself in my own little bubble, that now that I’m out working and on stuffed subways and trams, in offices with people who are sometimes sick or carrying germs from their offspring, I just catch everything they have to give.

I’ve started taking daily vitamins on Friday, but I think it might have been too late.  If you don’t hear from me for a while, just assume I’ve come in contact with someone with oh I dunno… malaria, or something.

P.S.  Last night I saw a mosquito on the ceiling in our bedroom.  Who knows what that bastard is gonna give me.

Now that I think of it, a plastic bubble may be easier to come by than a spare immune system.

WTB PLASTIC BUBBLE!

Maybe I’ll move to China where it’s possible to walk around in a mask without looking like Michael Jackson.

  1. You don’t want mine – we’ve been sick here for a month.

  2. Yep, foreign germs.

My immune system has been totally fubar since Ï’ve moved here. The viruses don’t cause colds though…always tummy troubles…

  3. I had similar problems when I moved to the Netherlands. SOmeone told me that everytime you move to a new country your immune system has to fight all the new viruses etc. Don’t forget all the molds (or is it moulds?) in the NL because of the humidity etc. Those are big allergy causes!

  4. Astragalus Root, available in most health food stores that sell supplements, is a safe and easy immune system builder. It is used as part of most Chinese medicine preparations. I’ve taken it for years and after bloodwork taken this summer, my Dr told me that I had an incredible immune system. It’s not expensive either. Google it for more info.

  5. Haha, i’d say that your body is just adjusting. it’ll take time I’d say.

I went through that everytime i moved to somewhere new. :D

You’ll be ok, although the bubble sounds like fun
