This restaurant has been famous on the Internet for years. You can see photos of it on pretty much every site that deals with funny pictures… especially of road signs and billboards.
Anytime I’ve told people that I’ve been there, they’ve never believed me. So now I have proof.
The A&K Lick-A-Chick is about a 5 minute drive from my parents house in North Sydney, Nova Scotia… where I lived for most of my life. It is, in my opinion, the best fried chicken to be had! Growing up near it, the significance of the name doesn’t really register with you but to people who have never been there it must be pretty damn funny.
I took this photo while we were waiting for our take-out to be ready. You can see my husband, Xander, standing in front as proof that my claims are true. If you are ever in the area, try it out… their chicken is awesome!

Love that chicken! You know, growing up, I didn’t realize it was such a funny name until a relative from Ontario pointed it out to me. I really never thought anything of it!

They do have good chicken and It’s been years since i’ve had their food.While growing up not far from you, it wasn’t till I was in high school and hanging out with friends from the Northside that I went here.
