Manooky Juice

I find it hard to think of titles for each blog.. my old blog I wrote in notepad didn’t have them. I mean a title should be something that catches people’s eye and makes them interested in what you have to say, but I struggle with titles. I chose “Manooky Juice” because it was the first thing that came to mind when I tried to come up with a totally random title. I dated the same guy all through high school and when I was being a pain or nagging about something he’d say “aaah that’s enough of that manooky juice!” It never made any sense but it made me laugh and usually got me to stop nagging him. So, this title goes out to him.

I have been in a weird mood lately, I think it was the fact that in one weekend I learned that someone I loved left the world and that this is one more month where I’m not bringing someone new into the world to love. Blah. Drop some school angst on top of that and you can be pretty sure I won’t do much, other than sit around watching downloaded TV shows and painting. Things I can do in peace without having to interact with other people in any way, shape or form.

It’s weird how little things can make you smile though.
Lone Purple
Today I was out taking the dog for his morning walk and as I was strolling along one of the lanes something caught my eye. It was this single purple flower growing out of the roof of a tool shed in someone’s garden. It stood out so much because it was such an unikely place for a plant to grow, but for some reason it made me smile. I don’t know why really, maybe because I remembered I had my camera in my pocket and thought it would make a nice picture. Perhaps there was a philosophical side of me that thought that if flowers can grow in places where they really aren’t meant to be, maybe I can too.

That’s a beautiful sentiment, Breigh. I think you should be writing the messages in greeting cards, because most of the stuff I see is utter shite. You can paint the front and write the greetings. There’s nothing better than handmade greeting cards. I’d buy ’em!
