*FAINTS*

As you probably gathered from previous posts, I’m a massive fan of Mike Gayle and his books.

After writing my review of his latest book – Brand New Friend I decided to poke around the web and look for his website.

I found it, and it had a link to his email so I decided to send him a mail and tell him how much I love his books and how closely I related to Rob, in Brand New Friend.

This morning this was in my email…

Dear Tammy,
thank you for you lovely email and wonderful review. I’m thrilled to
hear that you enjoyed BNF so much. And you’re right…Rob had only
moved three hours away! That’s nothing compared to Canada to the
Netherlands. Maybe that’s guys for you…always making a big deal
about nothing!

Anyway, have yourself a great weekend

all the best

Mike Gayle

PS

Have added you on Myspace

Seriously, how cool is that?! My favorite author EVER has personally emailed me and has me listed somewhere under the title ‘friend’.

Now I love this guy like, twice as much as I did yesterday.

  1. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

I Love his books as well and laughed and cried in Brand New Friend.

    *green* You are SO lucky!

  2. That’s so exciting!

Now I have to check this guy out.

  3. I worked at a bookstore for a while a couple years ago. I was board all of the time so I read (no surprise). I picked up one of his books one time, just cause of the bright colous on the cover (sad I know), but I was really impressed. I went and found every book by him in our store and read all of them back to back in a week. one of the best weeks ever.

  4. OMG!!! That is sooooooooooooo cool! * envy * (in a good way) ;-)
