Petsitting in Amsterdam

GingerThis is Ginger, she’s the 5 month old Staffordshire Terrier I’m looking after at the moment. She’s quite a handful but she’s not nearly as crazy as the previous dog I looked after. She’s very very cute and she loves to pounce on Bailey and pin him to the floor. He doesn’t appear to like this quite as much. She’s not housebroken yet so she still goes on papers in the house, which makes life easier for me walk-wise as puppies that age who are freshly housebroken usually still need to go out like 100 times a day. Cleaning up the papers isn’t really a pleasure though. Her body is like a little oven. She curls up next to you and it’s like her body instantly cranks the heat. Both Xander and I have noticed this while she was laying between us on the sofa, we were both overheating. Everything seems to have gone well so far, my money was waiting for me when I arrived here and it’s pretty comfortable here. They live right in the city center of Amsterdam so it’s only about a 5 minute walk to one of the main shopping streets. Xander and I went for a walk up there today while looking for a place to buy groceries. I found one really great import shop for buying American goods. There were a lot of other really great shops along the way as well. It’s been raining the entire time I’ve been here so it hasn’t really been great weather for being out too much with the dogs. Ah well they are getting plenty of exercise inside anyway, they play all day long. I reopened my Star Wars Galaxies account about a week ago. It didn’t really work out in UO as I really didn’t feel much desire to play at all. Once the novelty of the house design toolwore off I was done. It was kind of like when you eat a whole lot of something you love and make yourself sick on it. Then anytime you have it in front of you again you feel sick just thinking about eating it. That’s what UO is like for me. SWG on the other hand is great, I’ve really been enjoying my time in the game so far and I’ve been missing it a bit since I’ve been here. I’m looking forward to being able to play again. Three more days until I’m home again…
