The Joys of Travelling

Ok, don’t worry I’m calmer than I was yesterday. I decided to take my NL frustration and use it constructively and finally finish my Life in NL page. I enjoyed making it actually, and was pretty surprised that my like list was almost as long as my don’t like list.Yesterday morning Xander went to “walk the dog” which meant “Escape Tammy for a while”. haha When he came home he had a lovely bunch of roses for me. I thought that was so sweet!! Not that he isn’t always sweet mind you! I took a pic so you can all see:

Roses from Hubby

Beautiful huh? I love the quality of the new cam. So much so that I already drained the battery on the camera and we can’t recharge it until we buy an adaptor for the plug because we bought it in Canada. I’ve already had a few times today I wanted to snap a pic but couldn’t.

So my back finally stopped being sore. Thank God! Those planes wreak havoc on my body when I have to sit in them for a long time. I just can never get comfortable. I almost weeped when I walked by the first seats on the plane and saw they were like lazyboys. Man could I sleep on one of those! Of course, they were like “Super Elite” class or something, probably 12x as expensive as my narrow little seat. The stopovers in Ottawa and London helped though. Got to stretch my legs and relax. They actually had these seats in London where you were practically laying down. I curled up with my jacket over me and caught a few winks.

It was most fun in Ottawa though. In their big waiting area they have these leather lazyboy chairs that give massages. Xander and I each used one and you could hear us going “Oh! Ah! OUch!” through the whole waiting area, I’m sure! Those things were TORTURE machines!! Sure I felt better afterwards but I came really close to crying when it was actually giving me the massage. They had these loveseat couch type things as well that were sat in front of this big window where you could watch planes landing and taking off. Me, being the brilliant little thing that I am, came up with the idea to move the furniture around and make our own little theater. We moved the loveseat to sit in front of the lazyboy massagers and put the laptop on the arms of them and watched Starsky and Hutch that I downloaded before we left Canada. Here’s a pic:

Ottawa Airport

Comfy huh? It was great, seeing as we had a 4 hour wait there and the airport really wasn’t much to brag about. PLUS we got there just as all the stores we closing. Which sucked but it did prevent me from spending more money, which is always a good thing. Starsky & Hutch was pretty good. Snoop Dog was hilarious in it.. but then, I always find him funny.

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson worked really well together, yet again (Yes I’m a big fan of Zoolander. I like Owen Wilson better though, there’s just something about the way he speaks makes him really funny. Even with that weird nose I still find him incredibly attractive.

Still haven’t unpacked, which I will probably do today or tomorrow. Xander and I argue every time we’re going anywhere because if I pack anything he takes it out and repacks it. This annoys the shit out of me! He says I suck at packing, and considers him to be the best in the world at it. He’s the same when we go get groceries. Anyway, I much rather pack than unpack, but I get stuck with the unpacking anyway. I should just make him do both for being such a turd about it.

This is my 2nd last day to be able to eat what I want before I start my diet. Ugh
