Year Round X-Mas

Still in Canada.. still having an awesome time. Tuesday night we went to see the Lipizzaner Stallions and they were as beautiful as I remember them. It was strange because there were so many empty seats! I don’t know if they didn’t advertise it well or if I’m just so biased and in love with horses that I couldn’t imagine people not wanting to see them. I got a few really nice pics.. ok .. 21 pics.. but who’s counting?! I dragged my parents and Xander with me and they were pretty unsure of the whole thing but once the show started I was surrounded by “Wow, isn’t that somethin’?” and “Ooooh! Aren’t they beautiful?!”. I knew they’d love it too.Yesterday we went for a drive to St. Peters to see this store my parents have been telling me about. It’s so strange.. it’s a Christmas shop that is open from April-January every year. There we were, sun shining walking into a store playing Christmas carols and selling everything Christmasy you could ever imagine. Odd.. We took the scenic route up there then went to Port Hawksbury and back around over Kelly’s Mountain and Seal Island. We stopped at this place called Vi’s Restaurant for dinner. For some reason Xander found this extremely funny and insisted on having a picture of the sign. I guess Vi is some sort of geek thing I don’t know about. *Shrugs*

Last night we hung around home while Xander formatted my parents’ computer to install windows xp on it. Mom and I watched American Idol and HOORAY!! Jasmine was voted off!! WHOO HOO! It’s about damn time!

Was it just me, or did she sing better after she was kicked off than she did before? *boggles*

Yesterday the four of us had a really big talk about the move back. Holy SHIT it’s really going to happen!! Xander is all for it and we were figuring out what we’d have when we come back and how much we’ll need to get set up and everything. When we move back here we will stay with my parents in North Sydney while Xander looks for work in Halifax. I can get some kind of job here while we wait doing whatever.. Hell, I’d even go back to Tim Horton’s if I had to. Anyway, when Xander has interviews in Halifax he can stay with a friend of the family who lives up there. When we get an apartment we’ll be fully furnished with extra furniture my parents have and stuff I sent home from Toronto with them. THEN, this is the BIG happy happy joy joy for the day!! About a year after we get here, my parents will have paid off their car (2001 Pontiac Grand Am) and they said they’ll give it to us!!! OMG!! They want to get a new car, probably some kind of SUV or something, and rather than sell the old one they will give it to us. I nearly fell over when they told us this, I haven’t had a car in five years and I miss driving soooooo so so so much!

MY PARENTS FREAKIN’ RULE!!

I honestly am so excited I could die. For the first time in years I can imagine our future and daydream about how things are going to be. Living in Holland has never been like that for me.. I never wanted to look into the future because all it held was homesickness, lonliness and frustration. Nothing is going to get in our way this time, I don’t care what happens.. we ARE moving back to Canada, come hell or high water! *Stomps foot*

Ah well, soon enough we’ll be back here where I can feel like me again, work my kind of jobs again, live my kind of life again with my kind of people. I cannot WAIT
