My New Exilim

Today was awesome. It was the first day my mother was off work since we’ve been home and we went shopppinnnng! Xander got some new clothes, my mom got a really nice wine colored leather jacket and I got a digital camera! (Ok it’s Xander’s too but I’ll use it way more than he will!) It’s our anniversary tomorrow and we decided to get a new digi cam for ourselves. We gave our old one to my parents so they can send us pics easier after we go back. I’m absolutely in love with this cam, it takes the nicest pics. SO much nicer than our old one.

Here are some examples

To test how close up we could take pics and how good the quality would be, we took pics of my tongue piercing to see if we could actually see the little rainbow smiley pirate. We could never take a pic with our old camera that would show it. Boy were we surprised when we saw these. Not only can you see the rainbow pirate smiley but you can also see every little bumpy thing my tongue is made up of!! WOW!! I love this cam! It’s so small but it has a really big screen on the back as well and tons of little options.. I’m going to be taking pics of everything in sight for ages!

Tonight my mother made her spaghetti and meatballs, which was absolutely delicious, as always. I’m sitting here now with a belly that feels like it’s about to burst.. I have been planning on going on a diet when I get back to Holland. With all this food I’m going to have to diet just to get back to the size I was when I left! haha Ok not really but .. jeez.

OH!!! OH!!! and I had Wendy’s for lunch! It was just positively dreamy! Just like I thought it would be.. with BarQ’s Root Beer and all. *Licks Lips* I’ll go back to Holland a happy woman now for sure.

All I keep talking about is moving back here.. it’s actually going to happen this time. I’ve pretty much already gone through the house saying, can we take this? Can we take this? Can we take this? So it appears that when we move back to Canada and find jobs/an apartment in Halifax we’ll pretty much have a fully furnished apartment just from extra things my parents have in the house and things I left behind. What a load off!! That makes it soooo much easier to think of coming back. Starting over in Holland in a new place and stuff means having to get EVERYTHING.. fridge, stove, carpet, paint etc. When you move into a new apartment absolutely nothing is done with it so you have to start from scratch. I’m so glad it won’t be like that here. Most apartments are freshly painted and come with appliances, so we’ll just have to move in our furniture from here and we’re set! We’re looking at moving back probably this time next year.. May/June-ish.

I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED I COULD DIE!!!

Ok I just had to get that out. So, we’re having a party here on Saturday, mostly family but my family is crazy enough and our parties are awesome. My dad and his cousin Blake get together with their guitars and we all sing and get drunk and rowdy while we tell stories. Aaah I can’t wait! Only good thing about knowing I’m not pregnant at the moment is that I’ll be able to have a few drinks and raise a little hell of my own! YEEHAWW!
