This is the weather forecast for Rotterdam for the coming days. The top bit is the weather conditions here this morning. ONE HUNDRED FREAKIN’ PERCENT HUMIDITY. You can literally see the air, you can feel it. It’s disgusting. This is summer in the Netherlands.
This weekend I was in Friesland with my photography club. We went sailing and visiting some of the local villages and I really had such an awesome time. It was hot up there, and I got quite warm and tired while walking around the little villages in the blazing sun. What I came home to is worse though, it’s gross.
I’d love the sunny weather, if only I was able to actually go out and move and do things, rather than staying inside where I can actually somehow manage to blink without breaking into a sweat.
Oh well, it gives me time to sit here in front of the fan and work on my photos from this weekend, there are lots!

Yep it’s another humidity filled week in the netherlands. It came on fast too! My house stays at a constant 22-24 celcius and the upstairs is so much worse it’s unreal. Thankfully we have a big ceiling fan downstairs wich I keep running all the time. Upstairs the boys each have a fan in their room and we have one of those small portable A/C’s that cools a room off in no time. The upstairs never ever cools down until October. The sticky feeling is just awful.
I clean in the mornings and whatever I can make for dinner in the morning I do that aswell. We grill aswell but wow that gets expensive fast! I hope you are able to stay semi cool today!!
