Child of the 80’s

Another trip down memory lane for me. Today I was reading Tanya’s Blog and am once again about to steal material from her. hehe It was such good timing that I saw this after my recent post about The Facts of Life. For some reason I’ve been thinking a lot lately about when I was a kid. The TV shows I watched, the games I played, the kids I knew.. I wonder if it’s just random or if it has something to do with the fact that this is the year I will be turning 30. Either way, I know I’d give damn near anything to be a kid again. Of course, wouldn’t we all?

Anyhow, this is what I swiped from Tanya’s blog. I’ll do like she did and bold the ones that make ME a child of the 80’s.

You are a child of the 80’s if…

You ever ended your sentence with “psych”

You solved the Rubics cube…..by peeling off the stickers (Yes, I actually have done that as a kid *sigh*)

  2. Great list, i passed it on to my best friend (and cousin) we were born 5 months apart in the early 80’s and grew up together with many of the things you listed!
    Have a great week!!!

  3. OH man, I remember a lot of that stuff too. Plus, Member Only jackets, neon leg warmers, Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef?” commercials, hehe.

Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. :P

  4. The slap and snap bracelets are back now believe it or not! I guess they made them safer than the bare metal poking out of them from years ago ;P

I know what you mean, I have been on a major 80’s kick for a month now. Must be the getting older thing…

  5. I don’t remember the snap bracelets, what were they?

  6. I can’t believe how much I remember from that list as well. The snap bracelets, Vicki the Robot and M.C. Hammer. Oh dear *LOL*

  7. Reading through Tanya’s list, I kept thinking, OH MY GOD, I’m 13 again. I’ll always be an 80s kid. David’s 5 years older, but he’s more of a 70s guy.
