Coldplay and a Rabbit, please!

I just had this conversation with my husband on MSN:

Blasphemer says:
check this out: Click Here
Breigh says:
haha omg
Breigh says:
you can buy vibrators at the free record shop?
Blasphemer says:
Yeah and Etos, so you can take something home for when you have a headache and for days that you don’t , hahaha
Breigh says:
HAHAHAHA

The article states that two shops in NL have decided to start carrying erotic toys such as dildos and vibrators etc. One is Etos, which is sort of like Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada (dunno what to compare it to in the US) Just your regular pharmacy type shop. The other (and this is the one that gets me laughing) is Free Record Shop (don’t be fooled, nothing is actually free). It’s just your regular music shop, selling CD’s, books on all things musical, DvD’s and games.

Apparently the Free Record Shop folks figure that since they sell erotic videos they may as well sell the err .. accesories as well. So now you can go to your local music shop and pick up Britney’s latest CD, a bargain bin porn and a rabbit?

I think this is hilarious, I mean there are sex shops everywhere in the Netherlands. Hundreds alone here in Rotterdam, I’m sure. Now our big chain stores are starting to sell them too! *Laugh* Soon they’ll be as common as a toothbrush… hrmm, not that I’m saying that’s a bad thing!

Only in the Netherlands…. I should add this to the list of things I love about this place.

  1. Hrmm good question, I wonder if I’ll be able to pick up a dildo the next time I’m passing through the station on my way to Den Haag. That would make for an interesting train ride! :P

  2. I was very disappointed when i first went into a freerecordshop to find that everything was full price. The most blatant false advertising since the film “the neverending story”.

Why are freerecordshops always in train stations?
